Protected by rocks and with lush green hills surrounding it, the Bay is also situated close to the famous marine park, the Area Marina Protetta di Tavolara.

ONE WEEK IN SARDINIA: TRAVEL DIARY 2015
YES, I KNOW THE MUSIC IS BAD, I SOMEHOW LIKED THE CHAINSMOKERS WHEN I WAS 16 AND REGRET THIS DECISION, MY APOLOGIES :)
The last week of October was höstlov here in Sweden, and my host family decided to go on a week long trip to Sardinia, Italy. On Tuesday, October 27th, we packed our bags and drove to Nyköping, where we flew with Ryanair to Olbia, Sardinia, from which we drove a large minibus to Alghero, on the west coast of the island.
So much love for the first song I’ve used, Roses by The Chainsmokers ft. ROZES, during which I show footage from our stay in Alghero. We spent a lot of time at two beaches close to our hotel, which was called something Eucalypti I think, and drove for a few minutes to another beautiful beach just outside of Alghero. We ate lots of amazing Italian food (lots of pizza, pasta, and caprese salads), had so much good ice-cream and gelato, and walked around the beautiful medieval town of Alghero. Also, if you saw the chocolate pudding-like thing, that’s what you receive when you order hot chocolate in Sardinia??
During the second son, Dreams by Autograf (Boehm Remix), you can watch us take a day trip to Bosa, which was so pretty and colourful, where we walked up to a small castle which featured an incredible view of the town, then stopped at another beach on our way back to Alghero. During our last day in Italy, we stopped in Sassari for some shopping and something to eat, and then drove around Olbia before catching the plane back to Sweden.
I will soon be posting more about this incredible trip on my blog, so check that out if you want to see photos and stuff.
Everything was filmed on my Canon EOS 100D / SL1, except for the clips from the plane, which was taken on my iPhone 5S.

Trip to Sardinia Nightmare: DELAYED FLIGHT reached Olbia (Part1)
Firstly, would like to mention it is our first vlogg of traveling.
All the sounds at the background comes from cheap tripod (we spotted it later on and can not do nothing to make it better so sorry about that ) :((
Our trip started at 3.30 am and it was a long day for us. When we came to Bristol airport our flight was delayed for one hour that was a bit disappointing but it was just a beginning of our nightmare trip . After spending some time at the airport we managed to get to the plane and the captain told us that we have to wait for one more hour on the plain before we can take off :( The reason of that was Traffic control strike in France. Advantage was that captain of the plane allowed us to come to the cabin and explore it a bit , it was cool :)
So we have reached Olbia a bit later than expected but any way our one week adventure begins here :)
Follow our journey and tell us what do you think :) we tried to do our best.
All the best

Today we are off the Disney Magic in Olbia in Sardinia which is an Island off the west coast of Italy in Mediterranean. This is our 3rd day on our 2017 Disney Mediterranean cruise since we left Barcelona and the first time I have been to Sardinia. I have heard great things about the beaches on Sardinia so think it is only right to find one!
We head off the Disney Magic in a group ready to set off exploring Olbia, Heading into the town to get bus tickets to take us to a near by beach so we can go for a swim in the beautiful Mediterranean sea.
A fairly short day in Olbia, Sardinia as we have to head back to the Disney Magic to get ready for JunNk's evening show.
I extend this Vlog to cover the following sea day on the Disney Magic cruise ship where JunNk has a workshop/ fun time with JunNk.
This then leads to the end of our little trip on the Disney Magic. Disembarking the Disney Magic in the Mediterranean from one of our 2017 Disney Cruise. The beauty of working onboard is quick trips exploring the world and getting paid!! Loving every minute!

Trip to Sardinia : La Maddalena in one day...too short ( part 3)
So after couple of days which we spend in Olbia we moved on and traveled forward. Next stop - La Maddalena.
First you have to go to Palau town and take a ferry to La Maddalena. Price depends of what car you drive, smaller it is cheaper you pay. We paid 48 euros for both ways.
We had only one day In La Maddalena so we tried to do our best. Sadly, we could not make it to boat trips as it was a bit too late. tours normally starts from 10 am until 6pm, all day. Not sure about prices.
We have traveled around a bit , visited beach which called Testa Del Polpo, dunes in Baia Trinita. Seen amazing panoramic view of the hill.
Please do not do same mistake as we did , go there at least for a couple of days. We even thinking to come back and finish unfinished business :) probably we will :)
Our place where we stayed was B&B and it was fantastic, we highly recommend it ;)

Neanche una goccia di cemento. Castelli di pietra con cinta murarie e torri alte fino a 35 metri. Pensate all'impatto visivo 3500 anni fa. Immaginate poi i guerrieri shardana, l'esistenza di atlantide, i popoli del mare, le vie commerciali tra oriente e occidente: ancora oggi misteri pieni di fascino, come pieni di fascino sono ancora queste costruzioni. #Sardegna #NonSoloMare
Not even a drop of cement. Stone castles with city walls and towers up to 35 meters. Think of the visual impact 3500 years ago. Imagine also the shardana warriors, the existence of Atlantis, the people of the sea, the trade routes between East and West: still mysteries full of charm, as full of charm are still these constructions. #NotOnlySea

T Hotel Cagliari, Sardinia - Italy
When people think about travelling to Italy, they often think of Rome, Florence, Milan or Tuscany... but what people neglect to look at is the amazing surrounding islands of Italy that are just a short flight away! Sardinia, or Sardegna as the locals call it, is one of the most amazing islands we have visited. To be able to spend a week visiting the top rated beaches, with its crystal clear water yet each with its own unique characteristics was simply an incredible experience and something everyone simply needs to experience!
Cagliari, the capital of the island of Sardinia is a perfect base for anyone wanting to explore the southern part of the island and surrounding beaches such as Chia Beach, Tuerredda as well as Villasimius.
Planning a road trip around the island required a bit of investment and we spent a lot of time looking through hotel reviews, photos and comparing prices for our stay in Cagliari. When you travel throughout Italy, you appreciate that a lot of affordable hotels are not luxurious and often feel like they haven't been upgraded since the 80's. When we saw the T Hotel, it was nice, clean and modern and given we were spending 2 nights in Cagliari, we wanted something comfortable and relaxing! The fact that it had free parking for our little Renault Twingo was an added bonus!!!
We stayed with THotel for two nights in September 2015 during our six night holiday around Sardinia.

Stealing Sand Could Cost You $3,400 On the Italian Island of Sardinia
Atourist to Sardinia has been fined $1,176 for stealing sand from the Italian island’s picturesque shoreline. The unnamed 40-year-old British tourist was caught by Italian police with a plastic bottle full of sand from a beach near Olbia, located on the island’s the northeast side, The Telegraph reported this week. Despite the hefty penalty, the tourist could have faced a fine nearly three times higher.According to the British newspaper, fines for stealing sand, pebbles and shells from the popular tourist island can result in fines of up to €3,000 ($3,420). While some may think the price is high, local officials say that stealing the island’s iconic colored sand has become so common that it poses an environment threat. Last year, about 5 imperial tons – that’s 11,200 pounds – of sand were intercepted by authorities after tourists tried to take samples home in bottles and bags. Sean Gallup/Getty Images Signs have been posted around beaches, warning tourists against the practice, The Guardian reported. Local vigilantes have also begun patrolling tourist beaches in an effort to stop would-be thieves.Island residents also set up a Facebook page condemning such thefts “With the excuse of acquiring a souvenir, each year tourists are taking from the island what nature took millions of years to create,” the page points out. The German embassy in Rome also issued a warning to tourists, highlighting the penalties stealing sand can incur.Keep up with this story and more by subscribing now “Sardinia has some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, but taking sand, pebbles and shells constitutes a serious environmental problem. It is forbidden by law.You can be fined from €500 to €3,000,” the embassy said via Facebook, according to The Telegraph .“Leave the sand where it should be,” it added. However, as The Guardian highlighted, some sand thieves feel guilty and eventually return what they stole. In 2016, a woman reportedly returned sand she’d taken 29 years previously from Budelli, an island off Sardinia that is known for its pink sand. She included an apology note, which read, in part: “I read in some newspapers and heard on the TV what this sand is and how it is made. I understood how unique Sardinia is.I felt guilty.”DANIEL SLIM/AFP/Getty Images Elsewhere in the world, larger-scale thieves have been stealing sand in large quantities from beaches in the Caribbean and other parts of the world. Truckloads are often taken under the cover of darkness, destined to be used to create smooth surfaces for plastering and finishing, The Daily Express reported. Such actions have led the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to launch a campaign against the practice, using the slogan: “Beach thieves – taking sand is theft,” according to The Telegraph . In one high-profile incident of sand stealing, Oscar Munoz, the CEO of United Airlines was fined $24,000 for taking sand from a public beach in Florida to be used in the creation of protective dunes in front of his multi-million doll

Don't even think about driving your motorhome from the north to the south of Sardinia. Especially if you suffer from vertigo as Andy the driver does!
WHY SO BEAUTIFUL? NUREMBERG TO ALPS TO ITALY
Starting a fresh new day of travel in Nuremberg, Germany, we headed out to the center of the city to find out what the city has to offer and get the most out of little time we had to spend there. The city's architecture was very nice and beautiful giving us a little taste of what German is like.
Then, we headed over to Italy driving between Alps to reach to our destination, Italy. What we did not realize was how beautiful the scenery of this drive was going to be. From the beautiful mountains to the small villages alongside of the freeway, we enjoyed every bit of it.
