JFK Family Tree Mural
Painted last year in the Thomas Fitzgerald Centre (President Kennedy's great-grandfather) in Bruff, is the largest Kennedy family tree mural on the planet! The Fitzgerald family bible was used by JFK in his inauguration over 100 after it was brought to the U.S. by Thomas Fitzgerald, when he emigrated from Co. Limerick in 1852. Those family members illustrated here are as follows: Bottom row, JFKs siblings: Joe, Jack (Pres), Rosemary, Kathleen, Eunice, Patricia, Bobby, Jean and Ted. Their parents Rose and Joseph Snr. are centered above them, with 'Honey' Fitz and his wife Josie Hannon at either side. At the top is Thomas Fitzgerald facing the emigrant ship, and holding the historic family bible.
