This year we look at the outstanding Thorn-Clarke Winery at the northern edge of the Barossa, outside of the Angaston township, where guests were treated to a unique tasting and wine-blending experience. RedHeads Wine opened the new winery at 258 Angaston Road in February 2019.
From nothing in August 2018 to a complete, shiny, wonderful building in February 2019. An amazing adventure all captured in this timelapse video.

RedHeads Wine was established over 15 years ago by a group of dynamic young winemakers who were looking to create some new and exciting wines. The first thing you’ll notice when you see their wines at the Redhead Days festival, are the distinctive labels. These guys like to have fun and they like to come up with designs that you won’t see anywhere else! Next thing you’ll notice are the unusual blends of grape varieties, ever tasted a Sangiovese and Montepulciano blend from Adelaide? Or a Pinot Noir and Shiraz from the Barossa Valley? No? Well now is your chance!
Not only will a selections of wines be available for purchase and tasting, you can also sign up to a wine masterclass! During a 45 – 60 minute tasting and presentation, David Soulard of RedHeads Wine will teach you the ins and outs of winemaking. Learn about what makes Australian wine so special, as well as all about the wine regions, the terroir, and the wide range of grapes they use. Of course, you will also taste 6 different wines and hear more about the special stories behind the distinctive labels.
The tasting session will cater to all levels of knowledge, don’t be afraid if you are a complete beginner, and if you are an expert, come and show us your expertise!
