The Thracian Temple Complex at Starosel covers six underhill temples, four of which are unique, as well as a few royal burials. The large temple at Chetinyova Mogila and the Horizon temple are open for tourist visits.

Starosel is known for the abundance of ancient Neolithic and Thracian sites, with some finds dating as far back as the 5th-6th millennium BC. Evidence from 20th-century excavations reveals that the village burgeoned into an important and wealthy Thracian city in the 5th century BC.
Among its main features are the underground temple, the largest of its kind in the Balkan Peninsula, built under the Chetinyova Mogila (tumulus) and a mausoleum. The temple, as well as the nearby Thracian king's residence under Mount Kozi Gramadi, likely date to the reign of Amatokos II (359-351 BC).

Starosel is a complex for wine and SPA tourism in Bulgaria, situated about 2 hours drive from the capital city of Sofia and in the province of Plovdiv - the second largest city in Bulgaria and a European Capital of Culture 2019.
The complex carries the name of the village Starosel, which lies at the foot of the Sredna Gora mountain range in Hisarya Municipality. Starosel is known for the abundance of ancient Neolithic and Thracian sites, with some finds dating as far back as the 5th-6th millennium BC. Could be spelled Hisarya. I just thought the design of this church was great! It's very pleasing visual, I think lends a meditative quality to it. (I have this video out of sequence because I missed it; I moved between Hisar and Starosel around the same times.)

Ancient ruins and ceramic in North-West Bulgaria
This area, just like most of the country has a lot of ruins and remains of ancient dwelings, spaning from early Neolit to modern times. These particular walls I believe were part of Roman baths and are probably younger then most of the other ruins.
I found the pieces shown in this video laying in the corn and sunflower fields around and sadly many times broken by the agricultural machines. It took me no more then half an hour to gather all that. Also its rarer but there still can be found laying on the ground early iron age spear heads and other weapons, but coins and other objects of collector's interest are nearly gone after the diligent browsing with metal detercors by all kind of dark balkan subjects in the last 30 years.
I plan in some of the next days to have a better look and who knows may be find something really interesting.

The Roman Ruins of Deultum - Bulgaria
David's Been Here is touring all the top sites and main attractions in and around the Bulgarian city of Burgas. In this short video, David takes us 17 miles outside the city to the small village of Debelt, where the ancient Roman Ruins of Deultum are located. Home to the Temple of the Imperial Cult (dedicated to Asclepius- the god of health/medicine) and the ancient Roman Thermas (Roman baths), this partially excavated archaeological site is a great look into the rich roman history that once thrived along the Black Sea Coast. For a great half-day trip outside of Burgas, take a wander through the town of Debelt and Deultum's ancient ruins, one of Bulgaria's many remarkable ancient Roman sites.
