Tasmania’s southern coast offers some of the most striking, sea-battered coastal formations in Australia. An hour’s drive from Hobart, you’ll find the remote and rugged Tasman Peninsula with its monumental rock structures and the mighty Tasman National Park. If you like exploring by foot, the park’s cliff-hugging Three Capes Track is the ultimate way to admire the Tasman Sea’s coastal artwork. A walking experience for all ages and abilities, the Three Capes Track takes a total of four days to complete.
Tasman Peninsula is also home to the eerie, colonial prisons of Port Arthur. Nestled in the arms of Carnarvon Bay, Port Arthur is a former convict settlement and is now a historical World Heritage-listed site. Be transported back nearly 200 years to learn about its once-resident convicts and the beginnings of Australia’s colonisation on a guided walking tour around the port’s well-preserved buildings.

Explore the rugged south-east coast of Tasmania on our 4 day Three Capes Track adventure. Carry just a day pack and head back each day to rest up and relax at your 4-star accommodation in Port Arthur and enjoy the local produce and boutique Tasmanian wines. Three Capes Track: Feb. 8-12, 2019
Bushwalked the Three Capes Track in south eastern Tasmania from February 8th through the 12th (2019) as part of our honeymoon. Started with a bus trip from Hobart to Port Arthur. Then a one hour boat tour out of Port Arthur to the trailhead. Pennicott Wildness Journeys proved the bus and boat trips. First night, we stayed in the Surveyors cabin and then Munro and Retakunna cabins on nights two and three respectively. Then on day four we ended our bushwalk at Fortescue Bay where we again took a bus back to Port Arthur and a ride from our new friends Mike and Sarah back to Hobart. Great adventure. Shot all the footage using a DJI Osmo Mobile 2 and my iPhone 6. Enjoy!
Three Capes ProShow Slideshow 8
The recently opened Three Capes walk along the edge of the Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania. The walk commences with a boat journey starting from Port Arthur and ends four days later at Fortescue Bay, where a bus returns the walkers to Port Arthur. Good exercise but a relatively easy walk with spectacular scenery and excellent accommodation. This audio-visual presentation includes underwater images of giant kelp forest and the wrecks of the Nord and Tasman, taken by Mark Spencer in earlier years.

BRUNY ISLAND & PORT ARTHUR #7
Honestly Tasmania is the most beautiful part of Australia I’ve seen so far. In this episode I discover even more of the hidden gems from Tassie. We also go a night out with our 75 year old friend Robin and discover an amazing Aboriginal-based artist. Last but not least we go to Bruny Island for the weekend and visit the most famous Australian prison: Port Arthur.
In My Ozzie Story I show you everything about my journey through Australia. You see the ups and downs and become a part of all the adventures. After I graduated I expected to find a job but unfortunately this became way harder than I thought it would be. One year later I decided to make a change and go for a new adventure to learn more about myself and the world. I started My Ozzie Story to keep my friends and family updated back home but I also want to help and inspire people who are struggling and might be ready for a new adventure. I hope you will have as much fun watching this as I do creating this. Cheers!
