GoPro The Three Rivers Heritage Bike Trail: Pittsburgh's North Shore
A leisurely ride on the on the Pittsburgh North Shore segment of the Three Rivers Heritage Bike Trail. We start by heading northeast from under the Fort Duquesne Bridge and ride along the Allegheny River past landmarks such as PNC Park, The Roberto Clemente Bridge, and the Alcoa Corporate Center, until we reach Milvale Riverfront Park where we turn around and head back. We back track past the Fort Duquesne Bridge, Heinz Field and the Carnegie Science Center until we conclude just west of Rivers Casino. It was a gorgeous Saturday on June 18, 2016. Pittsburgh is becoming more and more bike friendly. Besides adding miles of new bike lanes and providing numerous self-service bike rental kiosks all over the city, Pittsburgh has begun opening streets to bikes on certain announced days. More reasons why Pittsburgh is one of America's most livable cities.

Pittsburgh - Point State Park
This was filmed at the end of august 2006.
Point State Park is a Pennsylvania state park on 36 acres (0.15 km²) in Downtown Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA. It is located at the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers, forming the Ohio River.
Built on land condemned from businesses in the 1950s, the park opened in 1974, when construction was completed on its iconic fountain. Pittsburgh settled on the current design after rejecting an alternative plan for a Point Park Civic Center designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
The park also includes the outlines and remains of two of the oldest structures in Pittsburgh, Fort Pitt and Fort Duquesne. The Fort Pitt Museum, housed in the Monongahela Bastion of Fort Pitt, commemorates the French and Indian War (1754--1763), in which the area soon to become Pittsburgh was a major battlefield.
Today the park provides recreational space for workers, visitors, and residents in downtown Pittsburgh and also acts as the site for major cultural events in the city, including the Three Rivers Arts Festival and Three Rivers Regatta. The park, a registered National Historic Landmark, is operated by the Pennsylvania Bureau of State Parks.
The fountain in Point State Park, which sprays water up to 150 feet (46 m) in the air at the head of the Ohio River, draws upon water from the Wisconsin Glacial Flow, an underground river that passes beneath the park.

Westmoreland Heritage Trail (WHT) Murrysville to Trafford, PA
This is a section of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail along Turtle Creek. I began near Export, PA at a parking area on US 22 East. The parking area was not easy to find, since route 22 is a busy highway, and I saw it a few times, but was not able to turn into the parking lot fast enough. When I finally arrived at the trail, it was starting to get dark. I quickly explored a section that went to the East (eventually this section will connect with the section from Delmont to Saltsburg. Unfortunately, the connector section has not been built. After struggling to move my bike through the weeds and numerous erosional gullies, I turned around and went West toward Trafford, PA. The fall colors were as bright as they got in 2018. The trees did not change color until very late in 2018 and then in a week they were brown. I continued to ride the trail until well after sunset, and eventually came to railroad tracks that were still in place. I guess that means there is more to come for the Westmoreland Heritage Trail in the future. The section I rode was about 7 miles one way (at most), seemed like less. I sped up a lot of the ride, as I was talking about depressing and morbid things, that I don't think will add value to this video.
