Shot with the Yuneec Q500 Typhoon 4K
Fewston is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated north of Otley and close to Swinsty and Fewston reservoirs.
The Church of St Michael and St Lawrence is the village church. The majority of the building was constructed in 1697, although the tower dates from the 14th century.[2]
History Fewston was an ancient parish in the Forest of Knaresborough in the West Riding of Yorkshire. It covered a wide area, and included the townships of Blubberhouses, Clifton with Norwood, Great Timble, and Thruscross.[3] All these places became separate civil parishes in 1866.[4] Fewston was transferred to the new county of North Yorkshire in 1974.

My favourite places. My favourite music
Two of my favourite walks are Fewston & Thurscross reservoirs in the Yorkshire Dales. One of my favourite pieces of music is 'Lake Constance' by the disgustingly talented Mike Oldfield. I decided to put together a slideshow of some of my photos with this beautiful piece as a backdrop. It's not the most highly polished piece of video but I think it works well. Hope you enjoy it and any comments are welcome!

Yockenthwaite Moor ascent, Yorkshire Dales, UK
An ascent of Yokenthwaite Moor which is a mountain also known as Middle Tongue in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
This is not the most interesting of mountains which is probably why I have very few pics. Most of the higher ground is Peat bogs which are hard work. It would also be a difficult place in to navigate in low cloud.
I left the byway at Stalling Busk for this out and back ascent.
Walking can be dangerous and is done entirely at your own risk. It is each walkers responsibility to know their own limitations and properly risk assess conditions, routes and if they are capable of
using navigational aids.
It is also each walkers responsibility to keep to country codes within the country they walk and supervise children.

Yockenthwaite Stone Circle @ Langstrothdale Chase Upper Wharfedale (3D FlyZone)
Yockenthwaite Stone Circle @ Langstrothdale Chase, Upper Wharfedale
Aerial View of Yockenthwaite Stone Circle @ Upper Wharfedale Nr Hawes. Situated on the flat grassland fields along the east bank of the upper River Wharfe. South of the Circle lies nearby hamlets of Deepdale & Yockenthwaite , to the north the apt named hamlet of `Worlds End`.
The Circle is made of Limestone and consists of a dozen or more large stones, some seemingly removed, most of a rough hewn roundish shape, and an inner diameter of approx 7m. Some weathering of the rock is apparent, there are no exact dates for this unusual circle but probably 1000yrs old or less. Luckily the day was bright sunshine , after what was a snowy cold night here. A great place to visit, and some friendly wild camping sp[ots where the farmers will only charge a couple of quid a night ! (2016-04-10)
