Established in the year 1936 as Hailey National Park, Corbett has the glory of being India's oldest and most prestigious National Park. It is also being honored as the place where Project Tiger was first launched in 1973. This unique tiger territory is best known as the father who gave birth of the Project Tiger in India to protect the most endangered species and the Royal of India called Tigers.

Welcome to my chennel A Solo Traveler. Here is my new video in Lepchakha Village
Perched at the hill side of Buxa Tiger Reserve at an altitude of 3500ft is a quaint Drukpa village called Lepchakha Village. Buxa Tiger Reserve is a tiger reserve within the Buxa National Park in the Buxa hill of the southern hilly area of Bhutan. Sited close to Indo-Bhutan border Lepchakha Village is a less trodden destination of Dooars region which has recently gained its prominence in the tourism sector. The proximity of Lepchakha Village with Bhutan border makes the areal distance between Lepchakha and Bhutan's hill not more than 2 to 3 km. Tourist are attracted towards Lepchakha village for its surreal beauty making it a favored offbeat destination of Dooars.
Places to See in Lepchakha Village
The journey towards the mystical hamlet Lepchakha is an unforgettable experience in itself which is full of pictorial sights. After covering a distance of 20km from Alipurduar tourist will reach to the Buxa Tiger Reserve and after reaching tiger reserve, they need to trek through the dense forest of mixed-wet trees towards Lepchakha. Lepchakha village is often considered as the Queen of Dooars due to its bewitching panoramic vista of the 12 rivers flowing through Dooars which looks like glistening snakes meandering through the plains along with the serene ambiance which have left many tourists spell bound by the Lepchakha's beauty. The trekking trail towards Lepchakha is filled with pictorial destination from historical spots like Buxa fort, an important landmark of Buxa tiger reserve, to a forest route full of numerous orange orchards. The tourist trekking towards Lepchakha village will be accompanied by sound of the alluring chirping of exquisite Himalayan birds with the churning of dried leaves sprawled across the trekking route and sighting of colorful butterflies. Being close to the Bhutan border there is a boarder outpost of the security agencies in Lepchakha village. The sparsely populated Lepchakha village is inhabited by the Drukpa people. The Drukpa people are the original inhabitant of the place. These people are Bhutanese in origin and have unique culture different from the Nepalese who dominate lower part of the hills. The architecture of the Drukpa house is also unique. The main attraction of the Lepchakha village is the hilltop which offers the panoramic view of the Buxa National Park along with the meandering river streams dotting the Dooars region along with the heart swelling hospitability of the Drukpa people. The astounding view of the flowing river and the serene environment of this quaint village have lured many adventurer and nature lover who longs to find solitude from their busy life amidst the nature and trekkers visiting Dooars region seems to be intrigue by the trekking route through the thick alpine forest towards this picturesque village Lepchakha making it a must visit destination of Dooars.

It is notable that by 2009, the entire tiger population had been eliminated by poaching with the collusion of forest department officials.
Panna National Park and the surrounding territorial forest area of North and South Panna forest division is the only large chunk of wildlife habitat remaining in North Madhya Pradesh in the otherwise fragmented forest landscape of the region.
The National Park is situated at a point where the continuity of the Tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests belt, which starts from Cape Comorin in South India, is broken and beyond this the Upper Gangetic Plains moist deciduous forests of the great Indo-Gangetic Plain begins. This area is the northernmost tip of the natural teak forests and the easternmost tip of the natural 'Kardhai' Anogeissus pendula forests.
The forests of Panna National Park along with Ken Gharial Wildlife Sanctuary and adjoining territorial divisions form a significant part of the catchment area of the 406 km (252 mi) Ken River which runs northeast for about 72 km (45 mi) through the park.

They light fires, build homes and carry out a range of disturbing activities within Rajaji.
Driving from Roorkee to Dehra dun, one enters Rajaji National Park and sees a variety of fascinating ancient Shivalik hills... One also crosses the seasonal streams within the forest.

Fantastic wild Coral blossom display in Rajaji National Park, Dehradun
Erythrina or wild Coral trees in Rajaji National Park, around Mohan, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.
Erythrina is a genus of flowering plants in the pea family, Fabaceae. It contains about 130 species, which are distributed in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. They are trees, growing up to 30 m (98 ft) in height. The generic name is derived from the Greek word ερυθρóς (erythros), meaning red, referring to the flower color of certain species.
Particularly in horticulture, the name coral tree is used as a collective term for these plants. Flame trees is another vernacular name, but may refer to a number of unrelated plants as well. Many species of Erythrina have bright red flowers, and this may be the origin of the common name. However, the growth of the branches can resemble the shape of sea coral rather than the color of Corallium rubrum specifically, and this is an alternative source for the name. Other popular names, usually local and particular to distinct species, liken the flowers' red hues to those of a male chicken's wattles, and/or the flower shape to its leg spurs. Commonly seen Spanish names for any local species are bucaré, frejolillo or porotillo, and in Afrikaans some are called kaffirboom. Mullumurikku is a widespread name in Kerala.

Rajaji National Park is predominantly formed from dense green jungles, and this environment forms a habitat for a number of animals. The Park is at the northwestern limit of distribution for both elephants and tigers in India, and has the largest population of elephants in Uttarakhand.
Over 315 species of birds are found in the Park, whereas the wider region has over 500 species of birds, including both residents and migrants. The most prominent avian species include pea fowl, woodpeckers, pheasants, kingfishers and barbets, supplemented by a number of migratory species during the winter months. The Park is also home to the Great Pied Hornbill, Himalayan Pied Kingfisher and the fire tailed sunbird. This area is the first staging ground after the migratory birds cross over the Himalayas into the Indian subcontinent.

Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand, India HD 2015 HD
Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand, India 2015 HD 1080p
Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India and was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park to protect the endangered Bengal tiger. It is located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand and was named after Jim Corbett who played a key role in its establishment. The park was the first to come under the Project Tiger initiative. The park has sub-Himalayan belt geographical and ecological characteristics. An ecotourism destination, it contains 488 different species of plants and a diverse variety of fauna. The increase in tourist activities, among other problems, continues to present a serious challenge to the park's ecological balance.
Corbett has been a haunt for tourists and wildlife lovers for a long time. Tourism activity is only allowed in selected areas of Corbett Tiger Reserve so that people get an opportunity to see its splendid landscape and the diverse wildlife. In recent years the number of people coming here has increased dramatically. Presently, every season more than 70,000 visitors come to the park from India and other countries.
Corbett National Park comprises 520.8 km2. area of hills, riverine belts, marshy depressions, grass lands and large lake. The elevation ranges from 1,300 feet (400 m) to 4,000 feet (1,200 m). Winter nights in Corbett Park are cold but the days are bright and sunny. It rains from July to September.
Dense moist deciduous forest mainly consists of sal, haldu, pipal, rohini and mango trees, and these trees cover almost 73 per cent of the park. The 10 per cent of the area consists of grasslands. It houses around 110 tree species, 50 species of mammals, 580 bird species and 25 reptile species. The endangered Bengal tiger of India resides here.
Over 586 species of resident and migratory birds have been categorised, including the crested serpent eagle, blossom-headed parakeet and the red junglefowl — ancestor of all domestic fowl.[6] 33 species of reptiles, seven species of amphibians, seven species of fish and 36 species of dragonflies have also been recorded.[8]
Bengal tigers, although plentiful, are not easily spotted due to the abundance of camouflage in the reserve.[2] Thick jungle, the Ramganga river, and plentiful prey make this reserve an ideal habitat for tigers who are opportunistic feeders and prey upon a range of animals.[18] The tigers in the park have been known to kill much larger animals such as buffalo and even elephant for food.[6] The tigers prey upon the larger animals in rare cases of food shortage.[6] There have been incidents of tigers attacking domestic animals in times when there is a shortage of prey.[6]
leopards are found in hilly areas but may also venture into the low land jungles.[6] Small cats in the park include the jungle cat, fishing cat and leopard cat.[6] Other mammals include barking deer, sambar deer, hog deer and chital, Sloth and Himalayan black bears, Indian grey mongoose, otters, yellow-throated martens, Himalayan goral, Indian pangolins, and langur and Rhesus macaques.[18] Owls and Nightjars can be heard during the night.[6]
In the summer, Indian elephants can be seen in herds of several hundred.[6] The Indian python found in the reserve is a dangerous species, capable of killing a chital deer.[6] Local crocodiles were saved from extinction by captive breeding programs that subsequently released crocodiles into the Ramganga river.[6]
