Mini Siam in July 2011 near Pattaya, Sukhumvit road, Chonburi Province, Thailand. ( 6 )
I have been to Mini Siam many times now. I love this venue set in over 46,000 square metres of landscaped gardens. They have two zones Mini Siam which features Thai landmarks and Mini Europe. It says mini Europe but it features models of landmarks from all over the world. The address for this venue is 387 Moo 6, Sukhumvit rd, Pattaya City Naklua, Bang Lamung, Chonburi, 20150. Construction began in 1986, but it began as a research project the previous year. The Democracy Monument in Bangkok was the first model to be built. Admission is Thais: 100 Baht for adults and 50 Baht for children, Foreigners: 250 Baht for adults and 120 Baht for children. Many web writers on the Internet condemn this practice of double charging, one price for Thai people another price for a Foreigner, usually more.
However think of this, Thai people don’t earn the same kind of money foreign people earn. So being Thai they reduce the price to help them or because they are simply Thai and in their own country, so what is wrong with that. I know it perhaps does not happen around the world, but you really have to get used to it and not let it annoy you. The opening hours for Mini Siam is Daily from 07.00 am. – 10.00 pm. At night time the many models, over 100, are now lit up. You can play Gulliver on his travels, for hours visiting here as you tower over the models which are built to a scale of 1:25.
After you have enjoyed the Mini Siam, next to the attraction is a Go Kart track for those that enjoy a spot of racing. In the model area are food sellers and a restaurant. At the far side of the Gardens is a small lake with a grotto walk through footpath. At this small lake you can feed very hungry fish that fight for the pellets that you buy and then feed them. The models themselves have a beautiful style, finish and look to them while others now are looking a little tired. I have no doubt this will change through the passage of time.
Some of the models in the Thai part are:~ ( all the write ups are for the real buildings not the models )
Wat Phra Kaeo or The Grand Palace, along with the Emerald Buddha, in Phra Nakhon district in Bangkok. The real palace was begun in 1782 and consists of several buildings with highly decorated architectural details. This is one of the most visited sights in Bangkok.
Phanom Rung Historical park in Buriram. The real one Phanom Rung, to give it its full name, Prasat Hin Phanom Rung or another spelling, Prasat Phnom Rong is a Khmer temple complex set on the rim of an extinct volcano at 1,320 feet above sea level, in Buriram province in the Issan region of Thailand. It was built in sandstone and laterite in the 10th to 13th centuries. It was a Hindu shrine dedicated to Shiva, and symbolises Mount Kailash, his heavenly dwelling. The beauty of the main Prang lies not only in its structure, but in the vibrant stone carvings which cover large parts of the temple.
Wat Arun or The Temple of Dawn, the real one is sighted on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, on the Thonburi side of the river. Wat Arun can be reached either by Arun Amarin road or by crossing the river by boat from Tha Tien Pier, near the temple Wat Pho. The most attractive structure in this temple is the 250 foot high pagoda ( about 76 metres ) or Phra Prang. Wat Arun was restored during the brief Thonburi period to be the Royal Chapel of King Taksin.
Phra Thinang Aisawan Thiphya, Ayutthaya, the real one being a Thai style pavilion with four porches and a spired roof built by King Chulalongkorn in 1876. It is a copy of the Phra Thinang Aphonphimok Prasat in the Grand Palace, which was built by his father, King Mongkut, King Chulalongkorn named this building Aisawan Thiphya Art after King Prasat Thong's original pavilion.

Leigh & Toon - Rural life Thailand - YouTube channel started April 2017.
We live in a small village located in Kamphaeng Phet. It is far away from city life & we share it with our beloved dogs, chickens, ducks & thousands of fish.
We are in the process of building our dream Thailand homestead with fishing park & working farm on our remote nearby land. It's not posh & we're on a fairly strict budget, but we love it.
We lead a busy thai lifestyle, which is immense fun & very fulfilling.
Our days are filled with wild fishing, preparing them (food & selling), farming & building.
We are lucky enough to be able to spend time exploring Kamphaeng Phet & messing about like big kids going wild swimming!
We hope you enjoy watching our lighthearted Thai vlog adventures.
We place huge importance on viewers comments & attempt to reply to all who have taken the time to post.

KAMPHAENG PHET
In the lower north of Thailand on the bank of the Ping River, Kamphaeng Phet is about halfway between Bangkok and Chiang Mai
Areas along the river bank at present-day city used to host several ancient towns which had played a major role as strategic front-lines since Sukhothai was the kingdom's capital down through the times of Ayutthaya and early Rattanakosin (Bangkok) eras. In fact, the name Kamphaeng Phet actually means walls as strong as diamonds
Its great history fell into oblivion & Kamphaeng Phet was an ordinary, smallish province city until the establishment of the historical park and its listing as a World Heritage site in 1991. Still, Kamphaeng Phet is—unlike its well-known neighbour Sukhothai—ignored by the main flow of tourists. Some may view this as a drawback, but those looking to experience the authentic, upcountry Thailand, are coming just to the right place
The province is subdivided in 11 districts:
Mueang Kamphaeng Phet
Sai Ngam
Khlong Lan
Khanu Woralaksaburi
Khlong Khlung
Phran Kratai
Lan Krabue
Sai Thong Watthana

Welcome to Toon & Leigh porpeang farm Thailand (Youtube channel started April 2017).
We live in the quiet Prang Sila Thong district of Kampheang Phet.
The late King of Thailand ~ Rama IX (King Bhumibol Adulyadej) was a great teacher of leading a porpeang farming existence.
Porpeang centres around being as close to self sufficiency as possible & not concentrating on growing one crop. The selling of any surplus goes towards buying essentials such as clothes & fuel etc.
It is a way of life that creates very little waste, uses few chemicals & can help the local community.
The vast diversity that can be achieved within a small area is amazing & brings the farmer closer to nature.
Choosing to live the porpeang way can be a steep learning curve with livestock, fish, fruits & vegetables all needing care & attention.
In addition to the farm we are also constructing a jungle style fishing lake.
Cheers Toon & Leigh

Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall in Bangkok, Dusit district. This building is beautiful to see for the first time and the dome of the throne hall houses picturesque frescoes of royal occasions during the reigns of King Rama I through to King Rama VI. It now serves as a museum and is from time to time employed for certain state occasions. The Throne Hall is a two storey construction with a large dome ( 49.5 metres. high ) in the centre, surrounded by six smaller domes.

BUILDING A HOUSE IN THAILAND UPDATE & A 2AM SCARE Rural life Thailand Homestead THAI VLOG THAI VLOGG
We have found building a house in Thailand both challenging & enjoyable. At times frustrating but on the whole it is proving to be a great experience.
Todays thai vlog is mainly an update on the building progress on the farm.
There is also an extra 2am clip added to the end . . . watch the vlog to the end to find out what Spoon was barking at!
The thai house build process differs vastly to that of the UK & probably the rest of the world outside of Asia.
We hope you enjoy watching our thai vlog ( วิดีโอตลก ) as much as we did making it.
Give us a thumbs up as it lets us know which genre of videos are most popular & that all the effort of doing a thailand vlog is worth it.
We value your opinions & questions so will always reply to comments & requests that you leave.

ABOUT US:
Leigh & Toon - Rural life Thailand - YouTube channel started April 2017.
We live in a small village located in Hin Dat, Kamphaeng Phet. It is far away from city life & we share it with our beloved dogs, chickens & thousands of fish.
We are in the process of building our dream Thailand homestead with fishing park &working farm on our remote nearby land. It's not posh & we're on a fairly strict budget, but we love it.
We lead a busy thai lifestyle, which is immense fun & very fulfilling.
Our days are filled with wild fishing & preparing them (for food & selling), farming & building.
We are sometimes lucky enough to be able to spend time exploring Kamphaeng Phet & playing like big kids going wild swimming!
We hope you enjoy watching our lighthearted Thai adventures.
Many thanks in advance to all YouTube Likers, Subscribers & Sharers in advance.
Also a big thank you to our good friend Neil Harvey for the use of his audio tracks on many of our videos.

Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi is 370km from Kamphaeng Phet
Buses from Bangkok's northern terminal (Mo Chit) takes 5hrs
The province is subdivided in 11 districts:
Mueang Kamphaeng Phet
Sai Ngam
Khlong Lan
Khanu Woralaksaburi
Khlong Khlung
Phran Kratai
Lan Krabue
Sai Thong Watthana
Pang Sila Thong
Bueng Samakkhi
Kosamphi Nakhon
