Kayaking in Queensland at Tingalpa Creek in Brisbane. An early morning kayaking trip on Tingalpa Creek at Lota in Brisbane Queensland with our Hobie Oasis mirage drive tandem kayak. We also did some kayak fishing but didn't manage to catch anything.

Tingalpa Creek Shark and Wellington Point Snapper Fishing On Dragon Kayak
From not being able to hook them to not being able to stop them! Early morning flick at Tingalpa Creek didn't produce the goods however I did have a close encounter with a small bull shark... Quick decision to change locations I headed for my first outing to Wellington Point... Starting off slow but better then the creek with a few small snapper before getting owned 3 times in 3 casts! first and second on the light gear but the last on the heavy line making the battle last a bit longer before the next weakest link in the chain gave way... Tired, disappointed and with the wind blowing up and causing havoc with wind tangles i slowly made my way back to the ramp and on the way picked up a respectable snapper as a consolation prize for my days effort... Short clip of kayaking at Tingalpa Creek. We paddled from Rickertt Rd, Thornside up to the dam wall. All up 4.5hrs with a strong paddle against the tide on the way back. Good place to paddle.

BIGGEST FISH I'VE CAUGHT - LOCATION REVEALED - LAND BASED
This is by far the biggest fish I have ever caught in my life! It happened 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night. I have been to this same spot a few times in the past and never caught anything this big. I've started off the night casting soft lure. I didn't catch a thing after over 50 casts in an hour. I was going to go home but decided to give a hard plastic lure a try. Same action, same spot same everything except the lure. The fish was caught in the first cast with the hard lure. Fought for about 10 mins and had a bloke netted it for me. He's top bloke getting his feet and pants wet, and taking photos for me.
Unfortunately no money shot but you will find out where I caught this fish in this video.
