North Head, Auckland, New Zealand.
Come and visit North Head a relic of the WW2 post war invasion by Japan. The defence force at the time had real concerns that after Perl Harbour that New Zealand would be next.
We were all ready sending people to the front lines. North head still stands with its secret tunnels weaving its way underground.
Wile they are fun to play in it takes you back to war time giving you a sense of what it would have been like.
Why not check out these channels as well. You might like to see the day from other angles.

The Watercare Scandal- Titirangi. The problem with replacing one forest with another
Watercare Auckland are suggesting chopping down a whole forest in Titirangi, New Zealand to build a new Water Treatment Plant. They suggest that they can mitigate this by creating a new forest elsewhere. Mitigation is such a joke. The idea that you can just move a forest elsewhere- a forest consists of complex eco-systems; it's the interaction of flora and fauna established over many years; it's a habitat for wildlife; in the case of these Woodlands Park Road sites it's also about contribution to stream tributaries. It makes me furious that in the 21st century people still feel that you can just keep giving nature its marching orders. What happens when, in 50 years time, Watercare need the replacement forest for another Water Treatment Plant? Does that new forest get moved on again to be replaced by another temporary forest? We need to start acting with not only human needs in mind but also view things through the prism of defending bio-diversity. I cannot believe that in the 21st century people can seriously believe that chopping down one forest and replacing it with another is any sort of solution. I thought New Zealand prided itself on being environmentally minded: not in Auckland it seems! Auckland Council's environmental policy loses all credibility if it allows Watercare to get away with this. Mayor Phil Goff explicitly promised the people of Titirangi that they would have a say in any trees chopped down in our community. But that was when he was running for office. A year later he is Mayor- will he keep his promise? Or will he just be another politician who says one thing and then does the opposite once he has our votes? Don't let Watercare fool you that there aren't other places where their Water Treatment Plant can go: they just need to be less stubborn and be a bit more flexible on design and scale.
Christmas Day storm New Zealand
Christmas day storm in New Zealand. Got to say I'm still blown away with the fujifilm X100f it's such a versatile camera and handled Christmas day weather in the Bay which was bat shyte crazy wet wild miserable, hot sunny humid cloudy then two storm fronts collided over the Napier waterfront. We got wet, we got peppered with hail, we got cold, but we got some pretty cool shots and memories which will last forever. Great day with my lads Caleb and Seth, we missed the old lad Danny like mad, hope our destruction of his song will be forgiven. Wishing you all an epic 2019 love from the shorts in NZ. #storm #weather #photography #vanlife
