These video dives are from the reefs of the NE coast of Tobago, SE Caribbean. Beautiful benthic fauna, lots of fish, low seaweed abundance, and very healthy brain and plate-forming corals. These reefs are dominated by giant barrel sponges (Xestospongia muta) that grow into weird clam-shapes rather than the usual barrel shape found elsewhere, perhaps because of the high current at these sites.

SCUBA Trip to Tobago

A collection of videos from my school trip to Tobago to begin my dive master certification. Tobago Dive Experience hosted the trip. The video was shot by me using a Gopro Hero 5 (borrowed), DJI Mavic Pro and iPhone 6S. Edited using iMovie. The song used is Kiso Dreams found on Sound Cloud and Sweet Child of Mine by Guns and Roses. Location is Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago, Caribbean.

Scuba diving from Crown Point, Tobago February 2018

Scuba Diving from the Crown Point area of Tobago end of January, beginning of February. Dive sites on the Caribbean side: the Maverick wreck, Mount Irvine Wall, Scotch on the Rocks, Castara. Dive sites on the Atlantic side: Diver's Thirst, Diver's Dream, Majeston, Flying Reef, Cave ledge, Cove Slope. Temperature range 24-27 C. Dive shop: Undersea Tobago.

This was recorded in December 2010 when the SHARK TAIL DIVE CLUB of Trinidad journeyed to the sister island Tobago for a diving weekend. The 33 man squad was lead by TOBAGO DIVE EXPERIENCE dive team under the watch of Sean 'Cappy' Robinson. In this video the divers were completion their PADI Advance Open Water Diver Certification.
