JR Tokyo Wide Pass Trip Part 1: Early Sakura in Japan (at Kawazu, Izu)
Assalamu'alaykum, Halal Lovers!
Last February, we were traveling around Japan eastern area using JR Tokyo Wide Pass ticket. JR Tokyo Wide Pass ticket is a ticket that you can use to explore eastern part of Japan using many types of train, including JR trains and some express and shinkansen trains, with only 10,000 yen for three consecutive days. On the first day of our trip, which was February 28th, 2016, we went to Kawazu, Izu, to see a type of sakura flower (or cherry blossom) that blooms earlier than usual sakura around Japan. The usual sakura in Japan usually blooms around late March to early April, but this type of sakura blooms on mid to late February. About sakura festival at Kawazu, Izu: kawazu-onsen.com

JR Ikebukuro Station, Ikebukuro District, Tokyo
JR Ikebukuro Station is located in the Ikebukuro District in Tokyo and is the second busiest commuter station in the world, second only to JR Shinjuku Station. In addition to the JR trains, this station also contains the Tobu Tojo Railway Line, Seibu Railway Line and the Tokyo Metro (Subway) lines. There are many department stores inside the station operated by Tobu Corporation and Seibu corporation. There is no Shinkansen service at this station.

'Kirifuri' train is special train operated usually on holidays.
The series 300, remodeled car from formerly express oriented car is applied to 'Kirifuri' train. This train's reputation is not so good because of lower quality of design and accommodation, originally designed for express service.

Tobu Railway東武鉄道最果て区間（鬼怒川公園～新藤原）
東武鬼怒川線の最後の一駅、鬼怒川公園～新藤原間の車窓動画です。北関東を中心に広いネットワークを有する東武鉄道のまさに最果て区間と言えましょう。
2009年9月の撮影でシルバーウィーク前半ということもあり、車内はかなり混んでいました。
The farthest section of Tobu-Kinugawa line. Tobu railway company has the most largest railway network in Kanto area except JR and has the second in Japan. Kinugawa line runs north part of Tochigi prefecture and change to Aizu-Kinugawa line(consists of 2 lines, Yagan-railway line and Aizu-railway line) at Shin-Fujiwara station, the end of the line.
The Shinkansen and Banetsu-east line of JR are mainly used to go to Aizu in Tohoku area from Tokyo. But Tobu & Aizu-Kinugawa route is another route and I'm sure this route will take you to an adventurous journey.

Japan regional trip - wind bell train in summer (1/2)
I would like to introduce Japan regional spots that major travel guide books might not pick up.
This is the wind-bell decorated train that run in the northern part of Kanto (approximately 100km north of Tokyo). This train runs between Kiryu and Maebashi in Gunma prefecture.
To visit there, take Tobu express train from Asakusa station in Tokyo and transfer at Akagi station. It is about two hours trip from Asakusa.
Wind-bell is usually used for feeling freshness in humid summer in Japan. It's very interesting that they attach so many wind bells on the ceiling of train cars so as to make them ring as they run.
Sorry to say, the wind-bell train service ended at the end of August but should be again next summer.
I would like to warn you that not all the trains are wind-bell decorated, but you have to catch the right one. To know the wind-bell train time table, you need to ask to the railway station staff.

เป็นอีกหนึ่งที่ที่น่าไปมาก ค่าเดินทางไม่แพง นั่งรถไม่นาน
