Please visit us at: Each June Hakozaki Shrine’s hydrangea garden explodes into flower. This shrine’s garden is said to have around 100 different varieties and over 3500 plants in all. Most are derived from the large leaf hydrangea, H. macrophylla, a native of Japan. Their colorful “mop head” clusters of flowers are known world wide, but reach their apex here in their native homeland. Please enjoy this tour of the garden.

It is the hydrangea of the peaceful mountains of Hiraicho, Tochigi-shi, Tochigi Prefectural nature park hydrangea slope.
A beautiful naturally comfortable beauty spot, Mt. Taihei. Omotesando to Taihei mountain god company at the mountaintop becomes the stone stairway of approximately 1,000 steps, and a sum hydrangea, the hydrangea of approximately 2,500 including the mountain hydrangea are in full glory including a Western hydrangea colorfully on both sides.

Kamakura Hokokuji Temple - Kanagawa - 報国寺 - 4K Ultra HD
Kanagawa Kamakura Hokokuji Temple - 報国寺 - 4K Ultra HD : Number 10 on the Kamakura 33 Kannon pilgrimage, Hokokuji is one of Kamakura’s most peculiar temples. Secluded and located in the eastern hills of Kamakura, Hokokuji was founded in 1334 and, like many other temples in the region, it suffered badly as a result of the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake.
What’s so special about this temple is that it features a bamboo grove strengthened by more than 2,000 moso bamboo, that is hidden in plain sight. Only accessible from a small entrance on the left side of the main hall, this grove, or as many people like to call it, this bamboo ‘forest’ offers more than just one of the most gorgeous views than you can find in Kamakura. It also also hosts a small green tea coffee shop where you can enjoy one of Kamakura’s finest cups of Japanese tea while enjoying the view.

Yamanashi Iyashi no Sato - いやしの里 - 4K Ultra HD : Destroyed by a landslide in 1966, Iyashi no Sato was a former village located near Lake Saiko and in front of Mt. Fuji. It was only in 2000 that some former villagers and the city hall, decided to rebuild the place into a magnificent open air museum. Here people can not only enjoy some of village’s oldest artefact but also art, craftwork and traditional Japanese sweets and food.
Despite being 100% tourist oriented, the Iyashi no Sato is really a nice little village that needs to be visited if you are traveling around Mt Fuji.

As flores do parque de Ashikaga
Localizado em Ashikaga, cidade da Província de Tochigi, o Ashikaga Flower Park é um parque que ficou famoso por seus muitos belos jardins de flores sazonais.
A cada estação do ano, o parque ganha uma cara nova de acordo com as flores específicas de cada uma das estações do ano. O parque tem um total de 20 hectares repleto de uma imensa variedade de espécies de flores, como as azaléias, as hortênsias, os lírios d´água e, entre muitas outras, as glicínias, a espécie mais famosa e mais apreciada.
Entre as espécies de glicínias, a que mais se destaca é a glicínia japonesa, também conhecida por “wistérias” e, no Japão, são chamadas de Fuji. As flores de Fuji são, juntamente com as flores da cerejeira (Sakura), os dois mais apreciados tipos de flores no país do sol nascente. A temporada das flores da Fuji começa logo após a florada das cerejeiras, durante a primavera e, no caso da região de Tochigi, na época do feriado prolongado “Golden Week”.
Outra espécie de glicínia é chamada de “Sunazuri no Fuji”(glicínia que toca o chão), que, por possuírem cachos que chegam a um metro de comprimento e encostarem no chão, são utilizadas para enfeitar caramanchões. Sua beleza e delicadeza do perfume são geralmente associadas ao conceito estético japonês chamado “Yugen”, que se refere à beleza e elegância aliada à simplicidade e à sutileza.
Como muitas destas árvores do parque possuem mais de um século de existência, foram utilizadas 260 toneladas de carvão vegetal para fertilização e purificação do solo. Como resultado de tamanho cuidado e cultivo o parque presenteia seus visitantes com um túnel de 80 metros de comprimento (Túnel de Fuji), com o teto forrado de glicínias de diversas cores. Um espetáculo indescritível.

We went this time to Ibaraki prefecture, to see the colors of Autumn (Kōyō 紅葉) of the Fukuroda falls (ふくろだのたき). It was the end of the changing colors period but it's still good to see. Japanese countryside is very beautiful.

Hydrangea Garden Okinawa Japan

It's that time of the year again. The hydrangeas are blooming! We woke up early and made the long drive up north. A 98 year old women (Mrs.Uto Yohena) has been planting hydrangeas for over 30 years! This is her place! They have a little shop where you can get shaved ice and other stuff plus flowers everywhere. It was so hot the day we went, Braxton and I lasted for about an hour. The Okinawa heat is so powerful! The flowers bloom during the rainy season, May to June. That when its open. I'm so happy we finally made it to the garden.
