Exploring The Beautiful Tohoku Region in Japan
In this episode, we're checking out the stunning, less-visited region of Tohoku Japan. Many people head to Japan and visit popular places like Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima which are wonderful in their own right, but upon our return to the land of the rising sun, we wanted to venture a little more off track.
In this video, we head to the Akita and Aomori Prefectures and we enjoy the outdoors, the culture, the food, the history and the people.

Onsen by Shinkansen - Bandai Atami Hot Springs - Go!Go!Tohoku!! - Japan Travel
Koriyama is the largest city in Fukushima Prefecture. The most well known hot spring in the area is Bandai-Atami Onsen!
Not only is there free public foot hot spring right in front of the station, there are 23 hot spring inns to choose from! We visited Kirakuya for a wonderfully relaxing day-visit!

Dake Onsen is located just outside Nihonmatsu City in Fukushima. Not only is it a scenic town with streets lined with cherry blossoms in Spring and 5 minute access to a powder snow ski resort in winter, it has some of the best quality spring water in Tohoku.

And they have accepted supporters, who come from other prefectures to help, and cooperated to Tohoku revival for a long time. Recently, the number of tourist is not going up because of harmful rumor.

The Treasures of Tohoku | Episode One: Starting in Yamagata
Japan's northern region of Tohoku is a land of wild coasts, verdant mountains, ancient temples, fresh seafood, and exquisite sake. Nowhere is that more true than in Yamagata Prefecture.
Northern Japan 1 - Sendai and Yamadera
This is the first of a number of videos of a trip thru northern Japan. On the first day we visited at Sendai Zuihoden where the mausoleums of Date Masamune of his son and his grandson are. Then we went to the place where in the past Sendai castle stood. From there one has a very nice view on Sendai. The last spot we visited in Sendai was the beautiful Osaki Hachiman shrine. Later that day we went to Yamadera. At Yamadera there is a mountain with many interesting temples. From the top of the mountain we had an impressing view. Japan is so beautiful and interesting!
