A temple and park that spans from the middle of Mt. Senko-ji to its summit. Naturally, there is the view, but there are also the cherry blossoms, night view, the sound of the bells and many other points that have put the area onto many Top 100 lists. ☆Bits of knowledge〜Hokanji〜
Hokan-ji Temple is known colloquially as Yasaka-no-to (Yasaka Pagoda). It is a 46-meter tall pagoda with graceful, sloping roofs on each tier, which lies in the middle of an old Kyoto neighborhood, between Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Yasaka-jinja Shrine. It is one of the unexpected treasures that reward the person on a casual stroll through the Higashiyama District.
Visitors are allowed inside to marvel at the tower's architecture, statues and fading paintings. Originally built by the Imperial Prince Shotoku in 589, the pagoda is said to have been inspired by a dream.

☆Bits of knowledge〜Kiyomizu-dera〜
Over 1200 years have passed since the foundation of Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Halfway up Mt. Otowa, one of the peaks in Kyoto’s Higashiyama mountain range, stands the temple, to which large numbers of visitors come to pay their respects to Kannon, a deity of great mercy and compassion. For this reason, our temple is known as a “Kannon Reijo.” “Reijo” is a Japanese word meaning a “holy place” with which the Kannon’s compassion is abundant.
The figure of Kannon embodies your thankful hearts—feelings of gratitude for coming into this world, your tranquil daily lives, and your loved ones, friends, and acquaintances who are always there beside you. In other words, worshiping Kannon means taking a hard look at your true self.

[Driver's view]Route No.72, Nara-kotsu (2)
Nara-kotsu Oshikuma-line, runs between Yamatosaidaiji to terminal Oshikuma.
Whole of the line is very narrow road, runs with the normal trailer bus.
There is Nara-Keirin in the middle of the line, and it runs in the residential area approximately earnestly.
In this move you can sometimes see the person who wore a white raincoat, is the guard-men posted at the important points along the line for this route bus.
They sometimes move a general car and sometimes guides a walker and sometimes adjusts cross-purposes between buses.
Please enjoy them.
I recorded this video on October 26,'08.

Japanese Onsen Bath Experience: Hot Spring Paradise ★ ONLY in JAPAN
Grab your towel because it's time for an epic Japanese onsen bath adventure! We will explore 13 Onsen Towns, hopping from one to another as a bath tourist around Fukushima. Naked outside in the snow? It's part of the fun!
Japanese Onsen are natural hot springs and around them are amazing places where you can bathe in many different kinds of waters. Bath tourism to onsen towns has always been popular with Japanese but as more people come to Japan for a visit, more are visiting the onsen and there are hundreds of hot spring towns.
Onsen baths are loaded with minerals that are good for the body, making your skin silky soft. Most of the water in these areas seeps from the ground, the hot water being the reason why many towns exist at that particular spot, their history rooting in its water.
It's the one do not miss recommendations I have for any trip to Japan. Every onsen is different so in this episode, I visit 13 different onsen towns in Fukushima prefecture, most with history going back centuries.

Gagaku at Tsukiji Honganji
I had some time to kill before going to Kabuki in the Ginza, so I visited the Tsukiji (fish market) Honganji temple and was treated to a Gagaku performance.
