KOH MAI TON in phuket/ Hi Travel summer of Thailand
Koh Mai Thon
Koh Mai Thon, or Maiton Island, is located in between Phuket and the Phi Phi Islands. Mostly ignored as a stop on the day-trip tour boats, Koh Mai Thon offers relaxing and quiet sandy beaches and a more forested inland. The only accommodation on the island, the upscale Honeymoon Island Hotel, offers guest rooms and villas for rent as well as a restaurant, swimming pool, tennis courts, and various water sports. Most visitors to Maiton hire a longtail boat to reach the island; the trip takes approximately one hour each way and costs between 1,000 and 1,500 Baht.
Rawai Beach Phuket 2008
Rawai Beach Phuket is located on the eastern side of Phuket Island, the eastern shore beaches are not the best to swim in, I often, about once a week head down to Chalong pier and swim the length of the beach, the water is very clean and I would recommend it to any beach goers.
One of the most beautiful sites on Phuket is the Thai fishing boats, when you arrive to Rawai, you will be amazed at all the beautiful fishing boats anchored in the water, during sunrise the view could not be more pristine, be sure to bring your camera, you will get some excellent Rawai bay shots with the surrounding islands in the background, I believe if you kept at it enough you could probably get some good post card material camera shots here, it really is that beautiful.
You will find a great variety of seaside restaurants along Rawai, one of the best is located on the North end of the beach; Nikitas which has been around a long time and the setting is the best in Rawai. So during your time in Phuket, take a ride down to Rawai, explore the many different restaurants, walk along the Chalong pier, you will truly enjoy this area of Phuket.

Beautiful Mai Khao Beach Phuket is located on the northwest coast of Phuket; this beach is 11 km and for the most part is still undeveloped.
We visit Mai Khao beach on a regular basis and for the most part the beach only has a few folks on it, one thing you will notice is the sand is a bit coarser than most other southern Phuket beaches.
Either way, if you get a chance in your Phuket travels come visit this beautiful Phuket beach it really is a gem.
