I'm Back in Tongxiang - China 2015 (Episode 1)
Well, I'm back in China, and I'm going to try to vlog and stuff. The days are pretty repetitive, though, so I'll try my best to make the videos interesting. I don't really know what else to type... eh, whatever. This is fine.

The Huagu Opera is an opera sung in the Tongxiang dialect, native to Zhejiang Province in east China. Though incomprehensible to outsiders, it has been drawing audiences during the ongoing Wuzhen Theatre Festival owing to its practitioners' make-up, movements and costumes, and the music that accompanies their singing. CGTN's Zhang Nini is joined by a Huagu Opera performer and her octogenarian mentor to learn the ropes of the art, from backstage preparation to the moment the spotlight hits the stage.

A trip to Wuzhen 2019| The residence of then dynasty Mao Dun| A place of art and culture in China.
Wuzhen is the top six water town in Jiangnan District, and some people call it the Venice of the East. You can find old buildings situated along the winding river, and various workshops, stores and museums are the highlights of the romantic and tranquil little town.
Located in the north of Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province, 13km from the city center, Wuzhen, or Wuzhen Water Town is one of the top six ancient towns in South China. It has been praised as a land of abundance since the ancient time. The town was established over 1300 years ago, it’s a typical water town of Jiangna Style (Jiangnan: the region south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River). Wuzhen fully preserves the water town’s style and pattern in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republican period. Little rivers, houses on the two banks, little bridges connecting streets, stone paved alleys, all these compose the most typical Jiangnan stle water town. Wuzhen can be divided into four parts, and the eastern part and the western part are the scenic zones requiring a ticket to visit; while the southern part and northern part is the living quarters for the locals.
