Mt Tenran-Mt Tonosu-Azuma Gorge, Hiking in Hanno - [Japan Vlog]
Long but relatively easy hike up two short mountains (hills?), and into a river gorge, with lots of interesting sights and brilliant autumn colors to go with. The rare November snow (2016) made a sort of nuisance of itself by muddying much of the path with its slow melting, even though it hadn't rained the day before.
Got myself a screen recorder and experimented with doing some Pokemon Go style vlogging shenanigans as well :O

Please watch: Must Visit Place In Kobe Japan --~-- Mt. Tenran can be accessed by about a 20-minute walk from Hanno Station (Seibu Ikebukuro Line), which can be reached in about an hour from Tokyo. Area maps posted throughout the city are frequently in English. Make your way towards Central Park (中央公園, chuo-koen), and a trail across the street will be labeled (in English) as the entrance to Tenran-zan. Alternately, you could take a bus to Tenranzan-Shita Bus Stop. Mt. Tonosu can most easily be accessed in two ways. One common way is to first climb the nearby Mt. Tenran (which can be directly accessed from a trail across from Hanno City's Chuo Park), and follow a course off the back end of the peak. Mt. Tenran and Mt. Tonosu are both quite small mountains, so climbing them both together can be done even by novice hikers. There are plenty of signs in the mountains to point the way to the next mountain, and most of the signs are written in English, so it's easy to navigate. The other option is to take a bus to Nagata-Osugi Bus Stop, and walk a short distance until you find a tall, metal torii gate leading off the road and into the forest.
