Tønsberg [²tønsbærj] is a municipality in Vestfold county, southern Norway, located around 102 kilometres (63 miles) south-southwest of Oslo on the western coast of the Oslofjord near its mouth onto the Skagerrak. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Tønsberg. The municipality has a population of 41,239 and covers an area of 107 square kilometres (41 square miles).
Tønsberg is generally regarded as the oldest town in Norway. Tønsberg was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The rural municipality of Sem was merged into the municipality of Tønsberg on 1 January 1988.

We made this as a school project. Tønsberg is also Norway's eldest town, it's a perfect summer town for those who are both interested in old Norwegian culture.
We hope that you'll come by and visit someday, especially in the summer!

I took one week off to go on vacation in Scandinavia, first stop: Norway ????????
I met a friend there, and here is the first part of our trip, enjoy!

In Tønsberg,
1:40 Saga Oseberg - Viking ships, it's like an open air museum
2:00 Verdens Ende - The World's End, where you can admire the Fjord landscape + that little house
4:15 Verdens Ende Spiseriet - The closest restaurant to the Fjord, if you're lucky with the weather, enjoy the view from the terrace (veggie options)
4:30 Færder Nasjonalpark - You have different paths possible there, ours took about 1h
5:23 Hotel Klubben - Where we stayed for a night, it's near the harbor with all the restaurants
6:13 Slottsfjell - A tower from the ancient castle, nice place to enjoy the view over the city
In Oslo,
7:23 Nordvegan - Delicious vegan restaurant, in the city center
7:30 The Royal Palace - We only went to the gardens (free access) behind the Palace
7:40 Aker Brygge - An area where people like to hang out, there are many different bars and restaurant, and also a beach
8:01 Anker Hostel - There is not much to do near that hostel, but it's not far from the city center (15-20min walk), if you want to save some money, it's a good option
8:18 The Opera House - You can walk all the way up to the roof
8:47 Our Savior's Cemetery - Where some famous Norwegian people are buried
8:52 Vegan Loving Hut - Asian food, burgers, kebabs... everything is vegan, in a cute little restaurant

My name is Maren. I'm 19 years old and I'm from Tonsberg. I have been coming to Thor for about 8 years and he has been very helpful to raise my confidence and make me feel good about myself. Before exams I always call Thor because he gives me confidence and he gives me the feeling I can succeed. He has also helped me not to be afraid of anything around me, like the fact that I'm imagining things and people around me. Also the feeling of being watched or people being in the room and spirits around me, Thor has thought me techniques to disconnect form that feeling and not being afraid. When I was as a little girl I saw things without knowing what is was, but Thor has helped me understand and now I'm not afraid to talk about it. Now I feel like a better person with more confidence and I feel it's easier to talk to strangers, not being judgemental and the fact that we are living here and now is very important.
