Hiking Mount Peeley , Arizona Trail , Tonto National Forest
Awesome hiking in the Tonto National Forest... The longest wilderness stretche of the Arizona Trail is in the Mazatzal Wilderness, we hiked on a portion in this video.
The Tonto National Forest, Arizona, embraces almost 3 million acres of rugged and spectacularly beautiful country, ranging from Saguaro cactus-studded desert to pine-forested mountains beneath the Mogollon Rim. This variety in vegetation and range in altitude (from 1,300 to 7,900 feet) offers outstanding recreational opportunities throughout the year, whether it's lake beaches or cool pine forest.
As the fifth largest forest in the United States , the Tonto National Forest is one of the most-visited “urban” forests in the U.S. (approximately 5.8 million visitors annually). Its boundaries are Phoenix to the south, the Mogollon Rim to the north and the San Carlos and Fort Apache Indian reservations to the east.

*You-Tube Personnel: ALL music in this video is cleared for world-wide viewing.., on all devices..,' (*as per the You-Tube Music Policies Page - * Today - * May 28th 2018).. ..Thank you - Miigwetch!
This is a collection of words and video segments.., concerning the injustices against that are on-going.., at OAK FLAT & APACHE LEAP..., that go against Spiritual areas, in the San Carlos Apache Tribe Reservation area.., in a National Forest.. *that was already formerly protected by: Republican Presidents Dwight Eisenhower and Richard Nixon. In 1955 Eisenhower signed Public Land Order 1229, ..which placed this land off limits to ALL FUTURE mining activity.
The main speakers are Grandfather/ Elder Wendsler Nosie Sr..., his daughter.. Elder Vanessa Nosie & his grandaughter..(Young Elder) ..Naelyn Pike...with some words of wisdom from Grandfather/Elder Tom Goldtooth.
-------------------------------
Oak Flat is a controversial area of land that is held as sacred by Native Americans from the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation. Oak Flat has been subject to attempts by the federal government to sell it to mining interests, against the wishes of the tribe.
In December 2014, President Barack Obama signed the 2015 National Defense Authorization Act, which would give land sacred to the Apache in Arizona to Resolution Copper Mine [RCM], a joint venture owned by Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton. The Act cleared the way for the land swap in which Resolution Copper would receive 2,422 acres of National Forest land in exchange for deeding to the federal government 5,344 acres of private land.
A proposal or rider in Section 3003 of the Act, titled Southeast Arizona Land Exchange and Conservation Act, would allow RCM to develop and operate an underground copper mine 7,000-feet deep (approximately five Empire State buildings) in the publicly owned Tonto National Forest near Superior, Arizona.
The mine would destroy an area set aside in 1955.
..by President Dwight D. Eisenhower..,
..that is sacred to the San Carlos Apache.
The land contains more than 2,400 acres of the
Oak Flat Campground, an area dotted..,
..with petroglyphs.. and historic and prehistoric sites.
Rio Tinto, the mining company, admitted that it will
..create the largest copper mine in the United States..
..and that within 50 years.., will LEAVE.. a crater in the Earth
..that is two and a half miles wide and 1,000 feet deep..,
..producing 1.6 billion tons of toxic mining waste..
..all within one of the country’s largest, National forests.
These numbers are conservative estimates..,
..supported by industry, itself…

Tonto National Land Bridge - Near Payson Arizona
Tonto National Land Bridge is largest travertine land bridge in the world. If you are traveling to Flagstaff or Sedona, I would suggest making a stop here. There is a nice park area and lots of trails. Be sure to wear hiking shoes and bring plenty of water if plan on hiking to the bottom.

Tonto Natural Bridge, Arizona ,US
azstateparks.com - Tucked away in a tiny valley surrounded by a forest of pine trees, Tonto Natural Bridge State Park has been in the making for thousands of years. It is believed to be the largest natural travertine bridge in the world. The bridge stands 183 feet high over a 400-foot long tunnel that measures 150 feet at its widest point. (continued v)
The discovery of the small and beautiful valley between Pine and Payson was documented in 1877 by David Gowan, a prospector who stumbled across the bridge as he was chased by Apaches. Gowan hid for two nights and three days in one of several caves that dot the inside of the bridge. On the third day, he left the cave to explore the tunnel and green valley surrounding it. Gowan then claimed squatter's rights.
In 1898 he persuaded his nephew, David Gowan Goodfellow, to bring his family over from Scotland and settle the land permanently. After a week of difficult travel from Flagstaff, the Goodfellows arrived at the edge of the mountain and lowered their possessions down the 500 foot slopes into the valley by ropes and burros.

Aliens are eating people in Arizona
While each year many people go missing. There may well be a reason for it. According to a number of files released by the United States Department of Agriculture, construction of an alien base is underway somewhere in a hidden area, located within the Tonto National Forest. This forest is located in Arizona and was confirmed by the United States Forest Service.

Climbing Brown's Peak, Four Peaks Wilderness - Tonto National Forest, AZ
My brother and I climbed Brown's peak, which is the northernmost peak of the Four Peaks, northeast of Phoenix, AZ. The hike up to the saddle is relatively easy, and then the trail climbs more steeply up and into the ravine/scree chute, where it becomes more challenging.
From Agua Fria National Monument to Tonto Basin National Forest
02-11-2015 Produced by Erick F Dircks
We talked to a Forest Park Ranger when we got to the Tonto Basin, and she instructed us how to get to a beautiful site to spend the night. She did a fantastic job, and photos/video will verify it. I can't wait to wake up tomorrow, and already have an idea where to capture the sunrise shining on a mountain behind our camp with a beautiful cactus to help frame the sunlight going down the mountain. God has blessed us & this trip! It has been nothing but a wonderful experience the three of have shared together. Good Night & God Bless!!!
