We are Anja and Bob and we have been together for 28 years, we both have been born with the Wanderlust Gene and can't get enough of wandering and exploring this beautiful world. We have lived in California, New Mexico, Colorado and Hawaii, but have wandered many states and countries. We are Full-Time RV-ers and travel and work camp in a 2010, Winnebago View 24A Diesel Sprinter. We like to bring our 2012 Jeep Wrangler unlimited with us to explore where the RV can't go. We are not retired yet so we have to work on the road, we work camp at National parks, Forest Service and State parks and design some t-shirts and stickers and make some jewelry that are inspired by our travels. We will be selling those on our new website soon. We enjoy boon docking in nature or dry camping off grid along the ocean, in deserts and in the mountains. Our other passion is searching for treasures, one of those is a real Treasure Chest hidden by a fascinating gentleman named Forrest Fenn. We have been searching since 2013 and have filmed a few of our searches for you, so you can come along for the Thrill Of The Chase. TONTO NATIONAL MONUMENT
Tonto National Monument contains the ruins of two cliff dwellings established by the Salado Indians around 1300 AD. The National Monument was established by President Roosevelt in December 1907, is located 0.8 miles from state route 188 (The Apache Trail) and the shore of Theodore Roosevelt Lake. Join me as I explore this awesome ruin, and have a run in with a herd of Javelina.

Hiking the Tonto National Monument upper trail and to the ancient pueblo ruin
Tonto National Monument is a National Monument in the Superstition Mountains, in Gila County of central Arizona. The area lies on the northeastern edge of the Sonoran Desert ecoregion. The area is close to the Roosevelt lake region
This is a video of 4 of us hiking to the upper dwelling, visiting, and then hiking back down which was an ambitious endeavor for us as we were in our 70's and 80's which includes Jim and Ann Tootle and Chuck and Betty Blackstock. The Ruins are about 1000 years old.

The most Beautiful Land In Tonto Basin Arizona
One acre of land in what I consider to be one of the most beautiful if not THEE most beautiful spot in Arizona. Tonto Basin is only 12 miles from Roosevelt lake, the largest lake in AZ.
Its a small town with a post office, large grocery store, churches, restaurants and more. It has a beautiful creek that runs a good nine months out of the year.

Tonto National Monument indian ruins 10-24-2009
A hike up a very steep hill to see the indian ruins near Roosevelt lake in Arizona off of State Route 188. A fun stop on a fun motorcycle road trip from Chandler to Globe then past Roosevelt to Jake's Corner then back down the Beeline Highway through Usary Pass then home. Starring my buddy Mike with both of us panting like we need rescue inhalers...
Tonto National Land Bridge - Near Payson Arizona
Tonto National Land Bridge is largest travertine land bridge in the world. If you are traveling to Flagstaff or Sedona, I would suggest making a stop here. There is a nice park area and lots of trails. Be sure to wear hiking shoes and bring plenty of water if plan on hiking to the bottom.
Roosevelt Dam and Roosevelt Bridge Tour - Things to do in Phoenix Arizona
Theodore Roosevelt Dam is a dam on the Salt River located northeast of Phoenix, Arizona. The dam is 357 feet high and forms Theodore Roosevelt Lake as it impounds the Salt River. Originally built between 1905 and 1911.
The Theodore Roosevelt Bridge is the longest two -lane, single-span, steel arch bridge in North America. The bridge spans 1,080 feet across Roosevelt Lake providing two-way traffic.
The bridge itself earned rare distinction when the bridge was named one of the top 12 bridges in the nation in November 1995.

Tonto National Monument Upper Ruins
Tonto National Monument is an amazing example of Salado ruins. It is located in the far eastern Superstition Mountains by Roosevelt Lake. The National Monument consists of 2 sets of ruins, the Lower and the Upper. The Lower ruins are open to the general public and do not require a guide. The Upper set is about a 3 mile round trip hike and requires a ranger guide. The Park Service only allows 15 people per day to visit and reservations must be made in advance.
This video is of my recent visit to the Upper ruins. I have been to the Lower set several times over the years, most recently in July of 2016. But had never gone to the Upper set.
I highly recommend it. The ruins are amazing. Our ranger guide was very knowledgeable and the views of the surrounding area are great too.
Thanks for watching!
