ATV Fun Tours - Quad or buggy tour Moorea

Location
ATV Fun Tours are located on the east side of Cook's Bay, right across from the entrance of the Bali Hai Hotel, on the island of Moorea.
The concept
A three and a half hour quad (ATV) or buggy (SSV) ride through the valleys of Moorea, along dirt tracks, across river beds, up steep mountains, through pineapple plantations, up to breathtaking viewpoints.
The Tours
There are two tours a day. The first one leaves at 9 am and returns at 12:30 pm. The second one leaves at 1:30 pm and returns at 5 pm.
The tour begins with a quick driving lesson to make sure you can handle your quad or buggy. It's easy and fun.
The excursion starts along a dirt track that takes you to the Bounty plateau, where the view is wonderful. You will then cross the pineapple plantations that are the pride of Moorea. Several rivers have to be crossed in order to get to the valley of Opunohu, the lush heart of the island. From there, it's a steep climb up to the Belvedere, from which you cast your glance over the interior of the volcano, the majestic Mount Rotui, and the two bays. Quite simply, one of the most spectacular views in the South Pacific.
After a well deserved break at the Horticultural High School, where you will enjoy fresh fruit and drinks, the tour finishes on a high, with a visit to the Magic Mountain, for yet another breathtaking sight that encompasses Moorea's coastline, the lagoon, the reef and the ocean.
The Fleet
ATV Fun Tours own 7 CAN-AM quads (ATV), and 4 buggies (SSV).
The Outlander Max 400 quad (for a driver + passenger) is purpose-built for rough-terrain rides, and has an automatic gearbox.
The buggy (SSV) Commander 800 is a comfortable two-seater with seat belts, protective nets, and an automatic gearbox.
Practical Information

You will be asked to provide a driver's livence (for the pilot), and a credit card number or check for the deposit. The following modes of payment are accepted : Visa or Mastecard, cash (US Dollars, Euros, or Pacific Francs), checks.
The vehicles are for one or two persons. Free pickup from your hotel or guest-house, if requested upon booking.

Situation
ATV Fun Tours est situé sur la côte est de la Baie de Cook, juste en face de l'entrée de l'hôtel Bali Hai, sur l'île de Moorea.
Le concept
Une balade de trois heures et demie en quad (ATV) ou véhicule côte-à-côte (SSV) à travers les vallées de Moorea, le long de pistes sauvages, avec traversée de rivières à gué, passages de cols de montagne, traversée des plantations d'ananas, et arrêts aux plus beaux points de vue. Une demi-journée grisante et exaltante passée à découvrir les beautés cachées de l'île.
Les tours
Il y a deux tours par jour. Le premier démarre à 9h00 et se termine à 12h30. Le second démarre à 13h30 et se termine à 17h.
Le tour commence par une brève leçon de conduite, pour que vous preniez en main votre quad ou SSV. Facile et amusant.
L'excursion commence le long d'une piste qui vous amène au plateau du Bounty, où la vue est merveilleuse. Vous traversez ensuite les plantations d'ananas qui font la fierté de Moorea. Vous devez ensuite traverser à gué plusieurs rivières afin d'atteindre la vallée d'Opunohu, le cœur luxuriant de l'île. De là, la montée est abrupte jusqu'au Belvédère, d'où votre regard embrasse tout l'intérieur du volcan, le majestueux Mont Rotui, et les deux baies. Tout simplement l'une des vues les plus spectaculaires de tout le Pacifique Sud.
Après une pause bien méritée au Lycée Agricole, où vous dégusterez des fruits frais et des boissons, le tour se termine en beauté par une visite de la Montagne Magique, encore un point de vue époustouflant qui englobe la côte de Moorea, le lagon, le récif et l'océan.
La flotte
ATV Fun Tours possède 7 quads CAN-AM (ATV), et 4 véhicules côte-à-côte (SSV).
Le quad Outlander Max 400 (pour un pilote + un passager) est conçu spécialement pour le tout-terrain, et dispose d'une boîte de vitesses automatique.
Le véhicule côte-à-côte (SSV) Commander 800 est un biplace confortable avec ceintures de sécurité, filets de protection et boîte de vitesses automatique.

Vous devez fournir un permis de conduire auto (pour le pilote) et un numéro de carte de crédit ou un chèque pour la caution. Les modes de paiement suivants sont acceptés : carte Visa ou Mastecard, espèces (Dollars US, Euros ou Francs Pacifique), chèques.

ATV Adventure in Moorea

We decided to do one of the ATV Moorea Tours and we were not disappointed. The tour was absolutely fantastic: we got to drive on roads and in the mud all around the island, swing from banyan trees, see amazing vistas, and eat delicious ice cream. The guide was great and emailed us photos from the tour a few days later. We highly recommend this tour, and you should upgrade to the extended route because the view at the end from Magic Mountain is the best part.

On 9 August, 2007 Air mooera flight 1121 was going from Mooera temae airport in Mooera ???????? polynesia to Papeete airport in Tahiti. An DHC-6 twin otter had pitch wire cable that got broken and went on nose dive and crashes into the sea near Mooera ????????polynesia. All people are killed. Air Mooera ceased operations on November 2010

Sortie de 3 heures 30 minutes avec un guide. Découverte des paysages, des champs d'ananas, le Belvédère, le lycée agricole et un magnifique dernier point de vue de la Montagne Magique.

On a aimé : le décor, la qualité des quads, les points de vue magnifiques, la bonne ambiance du groupe !

On a regretté : le monde au Belvédère (deux bateaux de croisiéristes) que le sol ne soit pas plus humide pour jouer un peu plus avec les jolies machines mises à disposition !
