Top Withens Haworth Walks In Yorkshire, England, UK
Top Withens Haworth Walks was about 7 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was a combination of moorland paths and tracks; plus short lane, pavement and track sections. The walking was easy to moderate with a few steep ascents and descents. Route finding was a little difficult in one section due to vague paths and in another section due to a network of paths. Waymarking was good in places and there were some good landmarks. However, map-reading skills would be advisable. Some of the moorland paths were a muddy or waterlogged in places. There were 2 stiles to negotiate.

Places to see in ( Haworth - UK )
Haworth is a village in West Yorkshire, England, in the Pennines 3 miles southwest of Keighley, 10 miles west of Bradford and 10 miles east of Colne in Lancashire. The surrounding areas include Oakworth and Oxenhope.
Haworth is a tourist destination known for its association with the Brontë sisters and the preserved heritage Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. Haworth is in the Worth Valley amid the Pennines. It is 212 miles (341 km) north of London, 43 miles (69 km) west of York and 9 miles (14 km) west of Bradford.
Tourism accounts for much of the local economy, with the major attractions being the heritage railway and Brontë Parsonage Museum. In Haworth there are tea rooms, souvenir and antiquarian bookshops, restaurants, pubs and hotels including the Black Bull, where Branwell Brontë's decline into alcoholism and opium addiction allegedly began. Haworth is a base for exploring Brontë Country, while still being close to the major cities of Bradford and Leeds.
Haworth's traditional events were an annual service at Haworth Spa and the rush bearing. Spa Sunday died out in the early 20th century and the rush bearing ceremony has not been held for many years. A modern event organised by the Haworth Traders' Association is Scroggling the Holly which takes place in November.
Haworth railway station is part of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic preserved steam railway. The 43 miles (69 km) long Brontë Way leads past Lower Laithe Reservoir, Stanbury to the Brontë waterfalls, the Brontë Bridge and the Brontë Stone Chair in which (it is said) the sisters took turns to sit and write their first stories. It then leads out of the valley and up on the moors to Ponden Hall (reputedly Thrushcross Grange in Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights) and Top Withens, a desolate ruin which was reputedly the setting for the farmstead Wuthering Heights. Top Withens can also be reached by a shorter walking route departing from the nearby village of Stanbury.
Haworth is served by Keighley Bus Company rural bus service which provides links to the main local town of Keighley and the local villages of Oxenhope, Stanbury, Oakworth and Denholme. There is also a service to Hebden Bridge. Evening and Sunday services are partly paid for by Metro. Central North Street Car Park Haworth, formerly Changegate Car Park, has been subject of a Channel 4 television documentary The Yorkshire Clamper, regarding their tactics.
( Haworth - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Haworth . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Haworth - UK

Haworth England UK
Haworth is a cute village in England. It is also called Bronte country, as the area is well known for the Bronte sisters.
Must do is the steam train from Keighley to Haworth/Oxenhope and Emile Bronte's Museum. There are trails leading up from the museum to Withens. We did not walk up till there, but my research tells me there is a pretty waterfall and interesting sights, some of which are mentioned by Emile Bronte in her book Wuthering Heights.

Bronte Parsonage - Walk to Top Withens
Starting at Haworth, at the Bronte Parsonage, and taking the walk out to Bronte Falls and then on to Top Withens (many see as Emily Bronte's inspiration for the location of Wuthering Heights in the book.) It is 4 miles each way.
It has been 4 years since I upped the low quality 360 video of the Parsonage and technology has come on a bit so I've made this to satisfy those who might never have the chance to visit the moors here. If you do come, it's mainly gravel/hardpack paths with some steep steps in areas and stepping stones across streams. you'll need to pack food and water and all weather gear is advisable, since every single time I get up to Top Withens the wind comes up and rain moves in! (read angry scenes from the book and this seems to accelerate the weather!) Enjoy the silence at the end of the trail when you're away from the hum of electricity, you really notice it! One day I'll go over Withens Heights and stare out across the wild moors, one day!

Real Haworth vs BBC Replica Haworth comparrison (To Walk Invisible)
This compares the real Haworth Parsonage and Graveyard with the replica Parsonage and Graveyard the BBC have built on Penistone Hill Haworth, the set is complete as they have being doing some filming, by the 17th June this should have all gone, as far as I'm aware the Drama should be on TV by the end of the year.

Haworth Circular Day Hiking Yorkshire England UK
Haworth Circular Day Hiking Yorkshire England UK
This was a 7 mile hike via Top Withens. It was an anti-clockwise route I did with Anne, my partner, whilst on a New Year Weekend Hiking Break in Yorkshire, England, UK during December 2010 with SPICE West Midlands. Steve Dell of Fizz Leisure organized the weekend on behalf of SPICE.
First, the day hiking took us from Haworth through Penistone Hill Country Park. Next we went onto Haworth Moor, where Emily Bronte got her inspiration for Wuthering Heights. We visited the Bronte Waterfall before climbing to Top Withens, the supposed setting for Wuthering Heights, complete with its ruins. Next, we retraced our steps downhill and then did an anti-clockwise semi-circular route following a gulley over the moor to a farmhouse. Lastly, we followed a straight track back to Penistone Hill Country Park.
This was an easy to moderate hike as there were a couple of steep gradients to tackle. However, the inclines were more than worth if for the stunning views of the open moor land. At the time we did this hike, which was New Year's Eve, there was the Annual Fell Running Event to Top Withens, so there were lots of Fell Runners going back and forth.
