Tory Island, or simply Tory , is an island 14.5 kilometres off the north-west coast of County Donegal in Ulster, Ireland, and is the most remote inhabited island of Ireland. It is also known in Irish as Oileán Thoraí or, historically, Oileán Thúr Rí. The word Tory comes from the Middle Irish word Tóraidhe which means bandit.

Tory Island is a small beautiful island 9 miles off the coast of Donegal. It has spectacular scenery and lots of sea birds. It has a population of about 140 during the Winter months and about 200 during the Summer. You can get there on the small ferry from Magheroarty and the crossing takes about 50 minutes.

This video is a mix of a slideshow of images and video footage I captured whilst there in June 2013.
