Day 4 - Labrador 2016 - Labrador Coastal Drive Tour

We were on the Labrador Coastal Drive, exploring the communities that dotted this southeast corner of Labrador. Our base of exploration began at Forteau, along the shores of Forteau Bay and ended the day at the Point Amour Lighthouse historic site.

Day 4 - Labrador 2016 - The Big Land

Driving on a stretch of highway known as the Trans Labrador Highway and more recently the Labrador Coastal Drive. From Forteau to Pinware River to Red Bay. Since we were only in Labrador for a brief stayover, in the southern part, we took in as much as we can of the Canadian subarctic wilderness from the road.

Uncle Ben Plays a Large Salmon On Pinware River July 2017

Myself and my Uncle Ben (Martin) spent a few days again this past summer fly fishing on Pinware River, Labrador.The salmon was late coming and usually there are only small salmon around the first week of July but this year the large ones came late and we hooked a few of them during our few days of fishing.
After this 8-10 lb Salmon was hooked he laid on the bottom for a period of time, he never even jumped.
