Driving up to the upper Hunter Valley

Tourist Drive 33 off Wollombi - NSW Australia
Bad Driving 7
Lazy ignorant arsehole driver, registration BPP 33C
This is a small section (about 5km) of George Downs Drive/Great North Road which runs between Peats Ridge and Wollombi NSW.
It is a windy and mostly narrow country road that is a popular tourist route leading to the Hunter Valley wine region. It is also very popular motorcycle run as it connects nicely with the Putty Road and also Wisemans Ferry Road. It is busiest at weekend when the weather is fine. (I think this was a Monday)
People are killed in car and motorcycle accidents on this stretch of road (and other roads like it in this area) on a regular basis. I'm not sure of the exact numbers but in the ten years that I have been using this road there have been many reported deaths and many more injuries.
Arseholes like this one have forced me deep onto the shoulder of the road (As you can see there's no paved shoulder just gravel, grass and white posts) on two separate occasions and I have witnessed a motorcycle rider run completely off the road and into the trees by a selfish prick like this crossing to the wrong side over a blind crest. On that occasion the rider was extremely lucky (probably due to experience and low speed) and managed to walk away with little more than a sore wrist and shoulder and a bent bike.
There is no excuse for this selfish fuckwit to be driving this way. There is more than enough room for this small car to keep within the marked lane.

Putty Road NSW- Back Again - WRX Upgraded STi Spec ra
Back again, this time upgraded power plant - 215KW's, JDM Spec C ra power plant, 6 Speed, And at last some brakes, Brembo full upgrade, Did this trip about twelve months ago, the STi upgrade was very new to me when I took this video, Struggled with the six speed box, made quite a few shifting mistakes, Extremely busier to drive a six speed box, engine tops out 8K very quickly, limiter set to 8.2K, this engine is truly unbelievable, as can be seen still getting used to it all, so go ahead and slag all you like, I really don't care, Once again have to keep to the correct side of the road as much as possible which limits how you can explore the full potential of the road.
Trial Bay Gaol campground, Arakoon National Park, South West Rocks NSW
198. Our new favourite Campground in Australia.
South West Rocks is a fantastic beachside town approx halfway between Brisbane and Sydney on the NSW coast.
We really enjoyed our time at the Trial Bay Gaol campground in the Arakoon National Park and were lucky that we were able to stay in the overflow area directly overlooking the ocean where we watched Whales and Dolphins swim by and turtles as the popped up right in front of us. Kangaroos also came right up to our Motorhome. The overflow is only available if the campground is full.
There are 3 toilet blocks and showers available, BBQ's and water also. There is also a great camp kitchen.
There is also a dump point and bins on site.
It is National Park so no pets are allowed. You can see why with so much wildlife wandering around the park here.
We had great coverage with both Telstra and Vodafone.
I saw all sorts of fish caught including Kingfish and more. It is also very popular for Spear fishing. You can take a walk also through the old Gaol.
Cost to stay is $31 for unpowered or $36 for a powered site.
Our stay here was 4-13th November 2018
