Tower Hill cemetery, Victoria, Australia
Tower Hill cemetery, Shire of Moyne village near Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia 2011
Situated on the Princes Highway, Warrnambool marks the western end of the Great Ocean Road and the southern end of the Hopkins Highway.
Officially, the cemetery stretches back to 1854 when the first trustees were appointed, but there were some burials prior to that date in one corner of the cemetery which at the time was known as the burial ground. These days it's divided up along the traditional religious lines, although unlike some other cemeteries, instead of everyone being buried facing the same direction (usually East), the headstones here mostly back onto each other. The graves are maintained by the families with the trust looking after the grounds, and it's interesting to note that many of the older graves are obviously well looked after, although a few have certainly also fallen into disrepair.
There are many unmarked graves in Warrnambool, although there is a register which notes who's buried where. This can be a frustrating thing however for those visiting the cemetery on a whim as access to this register is not always available.

GREAT OCEAN ROAD TOWER HILL WILDLIFE RESERVE
GREAT OCEAN ROAD TOWER HILL WILDLIFE RESERVE
While heading to Port Fairy on our last day of our Great Ocean Road trip we headed to the London Bridge, the Grotto, the Bay of Islands, Warrnambool Whale Watching Platform, and finally ended up at Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve. At Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve we had the opportunity to walk around the park to look for Emus, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Echidna, and Koalas.
We discovered our passion for traveling, beginning with our destination wedding in Jamaica in 2007. This year we decided to leave everything behind with a goal of traveling to 30 countries. We intend to record our experiences with a day in the life vlog, with the hopes of inspiring others to get out and see the world! Check out our new daily vlog as we start backbacking through Southeast Asia.

2015 Subaru NRS - Melbourne to Warrnambool
Budget Forklifts rider Scott Sunderland (WA) has raised his arms in victory on Raglan Parade to cap a stunning 2015 Melbourne to Warrnambool after narrowly beating home Alex Edmondson (SA) and 2014 winner Oliver Kent-Spark (Vic).
After an incredibly uplifting performance from his teammates, Sunderland was delighted to be able to finish off their hard work.
“The team rode superb with Jack Bobridge and Jake Kauffman in the breakaway, setting it up beautifully for the finish.”
“I rode this race last year and it was difficult after an early crash, which helped me put a plan in place for today, and I felt good all day with my team around me. It was great to get the win.”
“The run to the finish was really fast, everyone was closing gaps quickly, and there was a lot of nervousness coming in, but the team got together well and did a perfect job in that final kilometre.”
