White Plumb Tower and Tower of Eri - Itoman Okinawa, Japan
The White Plumb Tower:
It is in this location during the Battle of Okinawa where a number of school children were killed. They had been hiding in the nearby cave and when the US Military called out for survivors none responded, scared of what the US Military would do to them. Following protocol the US Military then bombarded the cave with hand grenades and flame throwers. The children were killed.
The Tower of Eri:
It was at this location where a fight happened during the Battle of Okinawa between the 32nd Infantry and 22nd Regiment. They were whipped out on June 17 1945. This is also known as the land on which the 10th Army Commander Lieutenant General Buckner was killed. After the war the worship and collecting of remains that were scattered among the fields gave reason to build this monument. It is dedicated to move than 12,000 spirits including troops as well as residents.

Review of the Okinawa Senseki Quasi-National Park tour (commonly known as Peace Memorial Park). Located in the Mabuni Hill area of Itoman city, the southern part of the island where the final battle of Okinawa took place during the Second World War. The wartime photographs and objects are displayed at the Peace Memorial Museum. Also, the names of those who perished during the Battle of Okinawa are inscribed on the Cornerstone of Peace monument. The Peace Prayer Memorial Statue said to prays for the souls of those killed in wars and for everlasting world peace can also be found on the site. As well as 50 monuments from other prefectures and organisations which are displayed on Mabuni Hill in the southern region of the park. During the reconstruction that followed the Battle of Okinawa, the remains of the deceased were gathered by local residents for which repositories and memorial towers were created. The Mausoleum area holds the ashes of over 180,000 souls; Okinawa, Japan 2019. Shots were taken with GoPro Hero 7 Black 2.7K downsized to 1080p HD.

Koinobori (Carp Windsocks / Carp Streamers)
Last month, as I was walking on the street in Fukui City near Fukui Prefectural Hospital, I saw Koinobori. Koinobori is at least three set of carp windsocks, carp streamers or carp banners which are usually hang on a pole from April to early May.

近第二次世界大戰底，沖繩本島成為最血腥戰役的地方，當時美國軍隊入侵並佔領了該島。估計有20萬人，其中包括10多萬市民及12,500的美國人於戰役中死去。
戰爭所帶來的毀滅性對當地人民產生了相當深刻的影響。有許多關於整個戰爭期間沖繩本島的古蹟和博物館。最殘酷的戰爭發生在沖繩的南部，在當地也建成一些大型的紀念碑。
和平石碑(Heiwanoyishiji)
大型和平石碑列有所有因戰爭而犧牲死去的士兵和市民的姓名，其中包括韓國人、台灣人、美國人和英國人。
姬百合紀念碑（HimeyurinoTo）
