Portland WES Commuter Train
The Portland WES Commuter Train is a small 5 station line with a very limited schedule. It runs every 1/2 hour only during rush hour with no weekend service. The trains are diesel so there is no need for overhead power lines. The tracks are also used for freight train service at night so the stations have two sets of tracks only a few inches from each other.

Klamath Falls Homes
The Klamath Falls homes market appears to be relatively stable compared to other cities and states. Home prices have indeed declined from 2008 to 2009 but only by 15 to 20 percent. The highest number of sales are found in the under $350,000 segment and prices appear to be stabilizing going into the year 2010. Contributing factors to support the stability of the market include affordability, with median prices now under $200,000 and low mortgage rates plus the recently extended government tax credits. For all of these reasons The Klamath Falls homes is a great investment.
In The Klamath Falls homes market, the climate has similarities to a Mediterranean climate, making Oregon an attractive place to live with its mild winters and dry summers. Snowfall during winter is relatively rare and tends to melt quickly. The average annual temperature is 52.1 degrees Fahrenheit or 11.2 degrees Centigrade. Combined with the low population density of approximately 3,400 people per square mile it makes for a very comfortable place to buy The Klamath Falls homes.
The Klamath Falls homes market made Fortune Small Business magazine's 2008 list of 100 best places to live and launch a small business in the United States. Other major industries include the manufacture of recreational vehicles, timber and other wood products. Many multinational corporations also had their beginnings in The Klamath Falls homes market

A Chapel Hill Neighborhood~Briar Chapel Video Update
Marianne Wright: Hi. I'm Marianne Howell Wright with Triangle Area Real
Estate. The other day when I was driving some clients through Briar Chapel,
I realized it's time for an update. Just a year ago the new phase was going
in. When I looked around the other day, I realized there are houses
everywhere in an area that was nothing but mud and dirt last year. So let's
take a drive through Briar Chapel again, and you can see how it's changed
in the past year or so.
Seems there's always someone working on the landscaping,
the entry features, and the parkway that is almost two
miles long. There will never be any houses along the
parkway going into Briar Chapel. There are also some power
lines that sort of go by the neighborhood and through the
back of it. They've done a pretty good job of hiding them.
The parkway is kind of long. There's an information center
that we're passing. You'll probably remember this traffic
circle. That is a Morning Star Homes model right there on
the right. We're coming around by the clubhouse. I'm going
to turn down the street to the newer phase that's just gone
in, in the past year.
Many of the houses are craftsmen style. Seems to be very
popular right now. As we go around the corner, we're going
to see some houses built by Saussy Burbank. They're really
good prices, but they're almost attached town homes because
they're very close together. But they've been popular. You
can see the alleys going to the back of the houses.
That is a Saussy Burbank model, and the gray house behind
it is a David Weekley Homes model.
We're going to be pulling in to visit with Peter Winkler,
the Sales Manager of Homes by Dickerson. I'm meeting with a
client who is designing a new home.
Well, I'm here in the sales model of the Homes by Dickerson
with Peter Winkler, the Sales Manager, and my client Billy,
who's working on their new home. Peter, what have you
noticed going on in the neighborhood in the past year or
so?
Peter Winkler: When I moved in, in December actually, it was this model
and the Saussy Burbank model. Homes by Dickerson is doing
tremendously well.
Marianne Wright: How many do you think you have going on right now?
Peter Winkler: Gosh, maybe 25 or 30 homes under construction.
Marianne Wright: Wow.
Well, I'm going to drive you down another street in a newer
phase. This street has a little bit larger houses, and
they're a little farther apart. These are all Homes by
Dickerson.
There is a new amphitheater park this year with an
adventure park behind it. Community gardens are new this
year, and there's also a dog park. Construction started on
the new phase, and I'll keep you posted on that as time
goes on.
Here are few pros and cons that I've heard from my clients.
Pros: Amenities and activities, great selection of
builders and plans, new homes need no updating,
neighborhood schools
All of the amenities and activities are just great. Also,
to get a new home with all the great features and not have
to do any updating is pretty wonderful.
Well, there are some cons in neighborhood too. What I've
heard is that there will be construction going on for
years. There's a pretty long drive into the neighborhood
and back into town. The houses are really close together
and the lots are small.
It's all a tradeoff and can be a tough decision. So come
for a visit and we'll find the right neighborhood for you.
This is Marianne Howell Wright with Triangle Area Real
Estate.
