Walking in ANTWERP / Belgium ????????- Windy Day in the Old Town - 4K 60fps (UHD)
We are in Antwerp (Dutch: Antwerpen), the second largest city in Belgium (after Brussels). Antwerp has some beautiful historical buildings in Flandern as it was a financial and trade center in the 16th century.
On this windy walking tour we start at overlooking the city's Scheldt river. We cross the Ernest van Dijckkaai and walk the Suikerrui street to the ciy centre. There we see the Grote Markt with the Antwerp City Hall (Stadhuis van Antwerpen) and explore the area around the Cathedral of Our Lady Antwerp (Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal Antwerpen).
The Hoogstraat we head south. We see the Plantentuin, a small botanical garden and get further south to the Leopoldplaats. There we soon turn around, pass the arts theatre Stadsschouwburg and walk past the Rubens House, which is also a tourist attraction.
The Meir walking street is getting quieter after the shops are closed. We make our way to the Groenplaats, see many streets and areas and end the walk at the Saint Carolus Borromeus Church.

Antwerp BELGIUM - My city - Tom in the Philippines
Antwerp BELGIUM - Let me show you my city on one of the hottest days of the year - September 14, 2016 - Belgium
Today was the hottest September 14 EVER recorded in Belgium and it was the hottest country in Europe today. It was about 34°C/93°F and really hot for a day this late in September. The day after it completely changed with thunderstorms and only 20°C/68°F. It's almost autumn so it's very rare to get temperatures like this at this time of the year.
But... this makes the perfect day to take you to the city center of Antwerp near the river Schelde (in English Scheldt). First I take you through 'Het Steen', which was built after the Viking incursions in the early Middle Ages as the first stone fortress of Antwerp, Het Steen is Antwerp's oldest building. After I show you around at the Grote Markt, where the City Hall of Antwerp is located. With in the middle of the Grote Markt, the Brabo fountain (city legend). At the Groenplaats I show you the Onze lieve Vrouwekathedraal (Cathedral of Our Lady), which was built between 1352 and 1521, and it 123 meters high.
Surrounding the Groenplaats, there are many picturesque buildings and little shops where you can buy the famous Belgian chocolates and Belgian beers, as for example 'Leonidas' and their delicious pralines.

Town Hall of Ghent, Flanders
The Town Hall of Ghent is located just a few hundred meters north of the Belfry. While a potentially attractive gothic style monument, it is in dire need of an overhaul, mainly to scrape of the grime of the exterior.
Brussels TownHall Weddings
The Town Hall (Hôtel de Ville) of the City of Brussels is a Gothic building from the Middle Ages. It is located on the famous Grand Place and is considered a masterpiece of civil Gothic architecture and more particularly of Brabantine Gothic.
The Town Hall has been designated a historic monument since March 1936. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Weddings are held there.
