Austin, Texas Fourth of July Town Lake Extravaganza 2015!!!!
Here is the FINALE (the last sixty seconds) from last weeks's Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza Town Lake 2015!!! I had to shoot this lying flat on my back (all Citizen Kane style) and balanced the phone on my chest whilst trying to manage the auto focus. I have never been so close to a fireworks display in my entire life! There were plenty of harrowing and adrenaline-triggering moments at its peak...this footage really, really belies the enormity of it. I was worried that all of that gun powder and fire would suddenly bond together and engulf us all. You now all have post traumatic stress disorder! Thanks for coming out!
Did We Finish The Highway 50 Challenge in Nevada? - Road Trip Vlog 20
Visiting Fallon, Fernley, Dayton and Carson City, Nevada to finish our Highway 50, The Loneliest Road in America Challenge. See it at:
After leaving Austin, Neek, Sar and I drove back on to Highway 50 and motored through the expansive beauty of Nevada. It was around 2pm and while we had driven through half of The Loneliest Road in America, we still had four more stamps to get to complete our booklet and receive our certificate of completion. We were a bit concerned that since some of the places that do stamping might close at 5pm, we would have to hurry to reach our goal.
110 miles (180 kilometers) later, we reached our next destination, the town of Fallon. It is called the Oasis of Nevada and can trace its roots back to the California Gold Rush as well as the Pony Express. There is agricultural importance there due to the Newlands Project at the turn of the century, the first land reclamation project in the United States through which diverted water from the Truckee and Carson rivers gave life to Fallon ranches.
Currently, Fallon is the headquarters for the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center, known better as TOPGUN. While the Grimes Point Petroglyph Trail seven miles to the east containing carvings by native peoples as much as 8,000 years old sounds fascinating, we only had time to stop at a Maverik gas station to get our stamp. We saw some interesting looking casinos in town, but once we got our stamps we hit the road!

US 50 in NV The Loneliest Road in America (Original Upload Aug 2016)
(This was my first Anaya On The Road video)
Dubbed the loneliest road in America, US Highway 50 in Nevada traverses some of the most barren stretches in the country. I decided to drive Across From Utah to California and documented my journey along the way.
Some stops include Great Basin National Park, Ely, Nevada Northern Railroad, Austin, Fallon, and Lake Tahoe.
The intro music is Untitled by Death On Wednesday.
The timelapse music is Love Is The Road by Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers.
(In an effort to better organize my videos, I've decided to upload the old ones to the new channel. Apologies for any confusion.)
Nevada Nuclear Test Site location from Google Earth
This is a birds eye view, from Google Earth, of the Nevada Nuclear Testing Site near Las Vegas, Nevada. I also mention Area 51, which is very near the test site.
Time-lapse Road Trip with Map - 5,438 Miles in 13 Minutes
Time-lapse road footage from Seattle through San Francisco, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Austin, Oklahoma City, Denver, Salt Lake City, Boise, and back to Seattle.
Seventy-six hours of footage condensed to 13 minutes, with an original score by The Half Brothers.
--more--
In the summer of 2013, my girlfriend and I took a road trip from Seattle to Austin and back again. On the dashboard, I had my old iPhone 3G taking a picture of the road every 15 seconds using the FotoTimer app by Jeffrey Lynch.
I've edited out all of the rest stops, gas stops and city driving, so what you see is primarily freeway miles. The miles counter includes every mile put on the car during the three week trip. The hour counter, however, is calculating only the hours seen in the video - so while an approximate total of 450 hours was spent on the trip, you see only the 76 hours spent driving on the freeway.
Also, while a total of over 22,000 photos were taken, only about 18,700 are included in the video.
The music is an original composition by Seattle-based bluegrass band The Half Brothers - John Ackermann on mandolin, Rick Miller on guitar, and David Nixon on banjo. You can find more Half Brothers music at thehalfbrothers.com
США. Техас. Остін отдых/USA. Texas. Austin Vacation. Great Neighborhoods in Austin. #4
part #1
part #2
part#3
Austin is the capital of the U.S. state of Texas and the seat of Travis County, with portions extending into Hays and Williamson counties. It is the 11th-most populous city in the United States and the 4th-most populous city in Texas. It is the fastest growing large city in the United States, the second most populous state capital after Phoenix, Arizona, and the southernmost state capital in the contiguous 48 states. Located in Central Texas within the greater Texas Hill Country, the city is home to numerous lakes, rivers, and waterways, including Lady Bird Lake, Barton Springs, McKinney Falls, the Colorado River, Lake Travis, and Lake Walter E. Long.
In the 1830s, pioneers began to settle the area in central Austin along the Colorado River. In 1839, the site was chosen to replace Houston as the capital of the Republic of Texas and was incorporated under the name Waterloo. Shortly afterward, the name was changed to Austin in honor of Stephen F. Austin, the Father of Texas and the republic's first secretary of state. The city grew throughout the 19th century and became a center for government and education with the construction of the Texas State Capitol and the University of Texas at Austin.
A number of Fortune 500 companies have headquarters or regional offices in Austin, including Amazon.com, Apple Inc., Cisco, eBay, General Motors, Google, IBM, Intel, Oracle Corporation, Paypal, Texas Instruments, 3M, and Whole Foods Market.
Great Neighborhoods in Austin:
Whether you're looking to buy or rent a home, these neighborhoods in central, north and south Austin are the cream of the crop.
1. Tarrytown
With stunning views of Lake Austin, Tarrytown is Austin’s prestige address. Homes are ornate, well-maintained and expensive. Centrally located for easy access to nearby downtown, this is one of Austin’s most exclusive neighborhoods. Park your car in a Tarrytown garage, and you’ll rub shoulders with Hollywood celebrities, CEOs and city movers and shakers who call this neighborhood home.
2. Great Hills
Head a little further northwest to Great Hills, a neighborhood of contemporary two-story homes for families who like panoramic views of creeks, trees and fairways; winding roads; and cul-de-sac living. Shop at the acclaimed Arboretum and enjoy an easy commute to high-tech employers such as Texas Instruments, Motorola and Motive.
3.SOUTH
Circle C
A large, master-planned community in the hills of southwest Austin, Circle C offers a pleasant refuge from city bustle without depriving residents of urban conveniences. Scenic views and moderately priced homes appeal to families with children and to retirees who are drawn to the wealth of amenities, including tennis, golf, a world-class swim facility, the Veloway (Austin's bicycle track) and nature activities at adjacent Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
4.Westlake Hills
Affluent parents seeking an excellent education for their children gravitate to Westlake Hills and the Eanes School District, ranked among the best in Texas. Only six miles from downtown Austin, this conservative neighborhood boasts many homes with spectacular views of hills and canyons, and clean, safe streets. The community is home to Barton Creek Greenbelt, which has hiking and biking trails from Town Lake and Shoal Creek. Homeowners range from science and technology professionals to upwardly mobile families.
5. Mueller
Located just three miles from downtown Austin and two miles from The University of Texas at Austin, Mueller is perfectly positioned as an energetic new hub for central Austin.

ROADTRIPPING USA | week 2| Nevada, Arizona, Utah
Here is another week of our adventures while roadtripping around the U.S.A. If you haven't seen the previous video click on the link and it will take you there
Anyways.. the states we visited so far are California (previous video), Arizona, Nevada and Utah. We first drove down to Las Vegas from L.A, which took quite much longer than we had expected so the arrival time was late. We spend a whole evening in Las Vegas until 2am when we decided to go back to our camping ground. The next day we started our drive down down to the Grand Canyon! A place I have always wanted to visit. On the way we also stopped to see the hoover dam (which I realize that I pronounce wrong in the video). I thought it was superfunny what a big deal they make out of it. There are toilets, a gift shop, monouments and a whole museum dedicated to the dam.
Now to the Grand Canyon.. It is crazy how much more different it is than I had imagined. I thought you have to take a hike there and that the canyon is more like a canyon (who big walls and water in between). The canyon is more open space and it is layers on layers (huuuuge). You don't have to hike there, although you can hike through the canyon and down to the river, but to just see what we saw you only need to take a shuttle bus. The shuttle buses go all around the park and take you to different locations if you can't walk. We prefered to walking the distances and take the bus down to sunset point in the end of the day. You see more animals if you walk and have a less crowded view, although since it is so large the view points are not that crowded. I walked close to some edges, but with some you have to be very careful since the rock is very brittle. The walking path is also paved all around so wheelchair friendly for those of you who need it (Y).
After the Grand Canyon we spend a day in Canyonlands- needles. It was nice with beautiful scenary, but I would rather spend more time in Arches and Moab town then seeing canyonlands. So If you are on a short schedule this is a part you could easily skip. Then after canyonlands we hit the road again and went to arches national park. The park is absolutely beautiful and there is so much to see. You can do both long and short hikes and spend as little as just some hours up to days there. We started with driving down the whole scenic route and then do the different arches that are easily acceseble from the street there. The visitor center doesn't open until 9am (until 4pm), so if you need a map I suggest you get it the day before. It is better to start the day early in summer months since it gets so hot after 10/11am. We spend two days in arches and although I wish we would've gone there for sunset, on the next day we started with going to delicate arch. Probably the most famous and beautiful one. You have to go on a little 3,2km long hike to get there and the way is pretty easy. If you go there for sunset the arch turns orange, purple and all kinds of colours, giving you a beautiful light show.
Now in the next video we will be going more around Utah to see Monument Valley, capitol reef park and more... So if you want to see that stay tuned ;)
Other than that thank you for watching and if you like what you see there is that red SUBSCRIBE buttom that makes me happy when people push it. So you know.. you could do it too, why not kinda?
CAMPGROUNDS
Las Vegas- KOA campground. Supernice, they have a pool to cool of in, a little shop, it is not too far from town (not walking distance tho), good wifi, all included for a VAN and super cheap for what it offers. 28$/night (4 people and a camperVAN) this price is if you have a 10% discount witch we get by renting our van from Cruise America.
Grand Canyon- if you intend to stay at a campingground make sure to book it in advance. We go more YOLO and didn't know when we are where so we slept wild. There are plenty od spots just outside the park, one of them even marked as a wild camp. It is inbetween trees, for free and all you need. (I prefer wild camps to be honest)
Arches National park- KOA Moab.
To be honest I don't remember it much so it can't have been anything special. I think it had a pool, okay wifi and it wasn't too cheap. around 40$/night with our 10% off coupon.
Have an AWESOME weeek people, see ya! :D
NOTICE
The engcon is just a joke, not an actual commercial. My dad works there sometimes and has these sunnies I always laugh at. I did not get paid for it whatsoever.
The informative video is filmed in the arches national park information center. I asked a ranger if I could film and publish it in my video and he said it was fine. Please don't get me in any trouble here.

The Loneliest Road in America Highway 50 Nevada Adventure
Few places in the U.S. lower 48 states are as remote as the stretch of Highway 50 that runs through the Basin and Range of Nevada. The highway is so far off the beaten path, Life Magazine nemed it The Loneliest Road in America. Driving it west from the Utah state line, we really didn't see a lot of other vehicles. What we did see, however, was wonderful. We occasionally passed through old mining towns with names like White Pine, Eureka and Austin that had a mix of saloons, trinket shops, empty storefronts and mine tailings and abandoned mining equipment that hinted at their storied pasts. We camped in a dusty campsite that had natural hotsprings we could soak in just east of Austin. Exploring the area in our Subaru Outback -- you must have an off-road capable vehicle if you go off the highway -- we were astonished to drive 50 miles to Belmont, Nevada, only to find the designated ghost town was full of friendly and/or quirky people (mostly RVers and ATVers) preparing to celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade and other festivities on the town's unpaved main street. We also marveled at ancient, Native American petroglyphs, wild horses and mules, and the wide open sky, which is a stunner day and night. Larry Richardson created this video using a Sony FDR-AX53 camcorder for 4k video and Apple iPhone 7 for HD video. The video was edited on a Mac Book Pro using Apple Final Cut Pro X software.
