Brampton's Retail Cannabis Decision - Nikki Cedrone / Neighbourhood Watch Brampton comments
Neighbourhood watch Brampton believes that retail cannabis stores in the city is not an option, it is an eventuality. The question that needs to be answered is do we want to be a first adopter and the benefits that could come with that, or should we follow Mississauga with a wait and see policy so that we avoid the pitfalls of what appears to legislation that is a work in progress.

Lawrence, MA: EPIC Atlas Hydraulic Freight Elevator @ Lawrence Heritage State Park Visitor Center
This is the EPIC, and surprisingly well-kept Atlas Hydraulic Freight Elevator, in the Lawrence Heritage State Park Visitor's Center, Lawrence, Massachusetts.
The building is open to the public, with exhibits on the 1st and 2nd floors.
THREE-SPEED-DOOR! Not only a freighter (with a surprisingly low weight capacity), but with a huge 3-speed door. The ride itself is actually quite good, and the motor is rather nice.
Too bad the camera's battery was on the brink of death, because it does deserve a 2nd ride, but I wanted to end the video with the 3-speeder closing up from the outside, as it all fits in-frame.

Renewing Riverview Open House #2
BC Housing held the second set of open houses in May to continue public consultation and hear land-use ideas for the future of the Riverview. BC Housing representatives and other stakeholders were on-hand to answer questions and listen to public comments.
The goal of the visioning process for the Riverview Lands is to build consensus among stakeholders, groups and individuals at the local, regional and provincial level on the future use of the Riverview Lands. While public engagement will be mindful of previous processes, reports and groups, it will look to reach a broad range of stakeholders through interviews, public open houses and an active online presence. The visioning process will respect Riverview's historic and present value to the community, local First Nations and the Province of British Columbia. The objective is to engage a broad variety of stakeholders to identify potential future uses for the site that will inform and guide future neighborhood planning while balancing community values, government requirements and economic sustainability.
For more information about the visioning process for Riverview Lands, visit renewingriverview.com.
