SEDONA, ARIZONA: Incredible Hikes, Great Food, & Slide Rock Waterslide
Sedona Arizona is incredible. The Native American tribes who lived in this area considered Sedona a sacred place, and to this day, there is a mystical aspect to Sedona that attracts people from all over the world. Slide Rock state park is a ton of fun and worth checking out in the hot summer months. Also be sure to hike to some of the vortexes (vortices), which some people believe have healing power.

Sedona, Arizona: Pink Jeep Tour to Red Rock Park | TRAVEL VLOG
In Sedona, one of the most enjoyable things we did was the Pink Jeep Tour to Diamondback Gulch and the 700-800 year old Honanki Ruins in Coconino National Forest. We were able to get within arm's reach of the ruins, and our Pink Jeep guide was clearly a lover of the ancient site, imparting lots of his knowledge of both the ruins and the local flora and fauna as he took us through the forest and near the ruins.
Fasten your seatbelts! Its gonna be a bumpy ride!

Visit Sedona's Verde Valley Wineries | Sedona, Arizona
Desert climate and great wine may not sound synonymous, but don’t let your assumptions fool you! Arizona’s terroir (factors like climate, latitude and elevation) is perfect. The environment is similar to the best grape growing regions in the world, from California to France. At Javelina Leap, they explained the nutrient-rich but drier soil makes for great winemaking. The harder the vines work in the soil, the stronger and more resilient they become and the better the grape produced.
Sedona’s wine scene is a group of boutique wineries with beautiful vineyards and laid-back tastings rooms located in the Verde Valley - only 20 minutes from the city center. You can book a tour or adventure to the valley on your own as we did.

Arizona Hotspots Episode 1 The Verde Valley
Arizona Hotspots Episode 1 The Verde Valley
In our first Episode we leave the common travel routes and dive into the hidden places of Verde Valley. Surrounded by red rocks and dozens of spectacular hiking routes we can't think of no better place to find our inner peace. In the western hills we find the former mining town Jerome which after its almost abandonment became a flourishing town for artists and those looking for art. Montezoma's Castle and Well, both mistakenly named after an aztec emperor reveal two old abandoned Indian settlements that are surprisingly well intact.

Everyone knows about Maynard Keenan's amazing winemaking with Caduceus Cellars in the Arizona desert. But that's only part of the story. In this episode we spend a week at a gorgeous desert oasis! This was truly one of our most favorite free campsites yet. This gem was in the SW corner of Arizona, and a pretty close drive from our stay in Desert Hot Springs, CA.
The hiking in the nearby hills was nice, and while we didn't get out on the water, it would make for some great kayaking.

White Cliffs - Upper Missouri River Boat Ride 2010
I have done a lot of research on the Internet and could not find complete documentation of the float down the upper Missouri River from Coal Banks to Judith Landing so here it is. Please note most of these photos were taken from a boat so they aren't as crisp and clear as I like. I've tried my best to get the labeling accurate but if you see any errors or would like to add to my labeling, feel free to Comment in the Comment Section. This is a beautiful journey. If you ever get the opportunity, there are lots of companies that can provide service for this most amazing trip. If you'd like to see the video I took, here is the link to about a 7 minute movie of the videos:
