Pedestrian street in Kazan, Russia
This video is about Pedestrian street in Kazan, Russia (Bauman Street)
Kazan is the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, one of the largest and most beautiful cities of Russia, which is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage cities.
The old Kazan is the center of the city. There are beautiful buildings raised in different architectural styles. Mansions in the style of modernism coexist with the Baroque monuments. You can feel the aura of antiquity spell from ancient white walls of the Kazan Kremlin wherefrom a superb view on the river opens. Imagination is boggled by the red bell tower of Bogoyavlenskaya church at the pedestrian Bauman street beloved by tourists.
VLOG - DAY 2,ST PETERSBURG|VIEW FROM COLONNADE OF ST ISAAC'S CATHEDRAL|CRUISER AURORA|TRAM JOURNEY
This video is based on our 2nd day in St Petersburg.
we visited Cruiser Aurora by Tram.Trams in Saint Petersburg are a major mode of public transit in the city.Trams are cheap and interesting way to get around the city.
Cruiser Aurora :
Cruiser Aurora is a very big ship turned in to museum at the Petrograd embankment on the Neva, which had a very important role in the Russian Revolution.
The Russian Revolution of 1917 started with a blank shot fired from the battleship aurora, which was meant to be a signal to the Bolsheviks to storm the winter palace.Aurora is also the oldest surviving ship of the Russian Navy, having fought during the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905,WWI and during the Great Patriotic War her canons were used to defend Leningrad.
But we didn't go inside.
Field of Mars :
The Field of Mars is an open space of land located near the Summer Gardens and back from the Neva river. It is a small square and in the center of the memorial is the eternal flame,Monument to the Fighters of the Revolution, in the honor of all fallen soldiers as well as all Russian victories.Taxi dropped us at Summer Garden, but It was closed. When we returned we walked across the field to a destination on the other side.
There's not much to see.
View From The Colonnade Of The St. Isaac’s Cathedral :
It's a MUST in St Petersburg. One of the most beautiful & glorious places in Saint Petersburg. Absolutely incredible view of the city from the colonnade,360-degree-panorama with major landmarks and marvelous landscapes below.you will have to climb a long spiral staircase.
There are massive red granite columns at the front of the building and the use of other decorative stones, including marble and malachite, inside the building. I was also impressed by the large golden-coloured dome, which could be seen from quite a distance.
It costs 200 Ruble per head for the colonnade, well worth the climb.

Vladivostok - Moscow (May 17 - June 2, 2016)
Vladivostok to Moscow. --- Trans-Siberian Railway Trip, May 17 to June 2, 2016
Our journey started from Vladivostok. Yul Brynner who stared in The King and I was born here; His statue is in front of the house he was born.
The second stop was Irkutsk. The city's old quarter reminded me the scenes from the movie Doctor Zhivago with it's traditional wooden houses and the old trams. As an admirer of the Decembrists and their women, we visited Volkonsky and Trubestskoy's houses. One could tell the owners lived rather extravagant life during their time in the houses. White Army Admiral Alexander Kolchak's statue stands in front of Znamensky Monastery, at the spot he was executed. The monastery also has tomb of Grigory Shelekhov, who claimed Alaska for Russia, and that of the Decembrist wife Ekaterina Trubetskaya.
From Irkutsk, we reached to Lake Baikal via Listvyanka; The amazing beauty of this Lake has to be seen to believe!
Moving on from Irkutsk, the train stopped at Novosibirsk for about 50 minutes, just enough time to taxi to the city center to see the dramatic Lenin statue with flowing cloak.
The industrial city Yekaterinburg is famous for the Cathedral on the Blood, which was built at the location the last Tsar and his family were murdered. We took a local train and then walked for about 40 minutes, along a beautiful, primeval forest, to get to Ganina Yama, visiting the site the bodies of the Romanov family were secretly disposed of originally.
Next, we stopped at Kazan. Ivan the Terrible conquered the Tatars' capital in 1552. Russia's icon, the St. Basil's Cathedral of Moscow was built to commemorate the capture of Kazan. Like Yekaterinburg, Kazan is a financially well to do city compared with other places we visited along the route.
Another over night train took us to Nizhny Novgorod, which was the first of the six golden ring cities we visited during the trip: Nizhny Novgorod, Vladmir, Suzdal, Rostov-Velikiy, Sergiev Posad and Yaroslavl. Rostov-Velikiy is my favorite. It has an unparalleled view of the Kremlin from lake Nero. We also witnessed a Sunday church parade and a Mass in Rostov. Suzdal stands out as an unspoiled village town. Nizhny and Yaroslavl are actually very large cities, their top attractions are the peaceful and scenic river sides. Vladmire and Sergiev Posad both have some most photogenic scenes.
We saved Moscow for the last. Indeed, Moscow proves to be worthy of the capital of Russia! There are simply too many fascinating things to see! The metro is handy, on top of the fact itself is a bona-fide museum.
We visited many Orthodox churches during the trip. Many have magnificent interior. The choral music were serene, peaceful and simply amazing!
The monuments in the country are many. Don't miss Victory park, and all-Russia exhibition center, both of Moscow. The monuments in these two locations are just awe inspiring!
We took the west bound trains for the journey. The east bound direction is more popular with leisure travelers. We had to change trains in each location mentioned above except Novosibirsk. Long distance tickets were either purchased ahead of time ( or at the time of travel in the station. Mid to late May is the shoulder season, it's relatively easy to get train tickets. Local train tickets were easily bought on site.
Train station in big cities usually has resting room with single/double/dorm types and clean linen, charged by the hour. We stayed in such a resting room in Irkutsk as we got there in the early morning. The room was clean, quite and rather spacious.
In May of 2009, I visited Saint Petersburg. Please see the video for the visit:

Volgograd Travel Guide - Russia Magical Experience
Volgograd Travel Guide - Russia Magical Experience
Volgograd used to be called Stalingrad. It lies along the west bank of the Volga River in Southern Russia. It was the scene of one of the most important and bloodiest battles of the Second World War. The Battle of Stalingrad in World War II was one of the largest and bloodiest battles in the history of warfare. Known locally as the Hero City, it is home to The Motherland Calls, an 85 meter statue dedicated to the heroes of the battle. The city also has many tourist attractions, such as museums, sandy beaches, and a self-propelled floating church.
Volgograd has a humid continental climate with moderate rainfall throughout the year measuring 406mm (15 inches on average). The city has large seasonal variations, due to its very strong continentality. Winters are cold (though above average for Russian standards) and the average February temperature is -6.6°C (20.1°F) while highs usually remain below freezing and lows hover around -10°C (13°F). There is nothing to protect the city from the freezing winds originating in the interior of Siberia and temperatures may fall down to -20°C (-4°F). Snow is a common sight during these months, but westerly winds are able to raise temperatures above freezing allowing rain to fall on average 6 days in January. The lowest recorded temperature is -33°C (-27°F). Summers on the other hand range from pleasantly warm to hot on some days. The average July temperature is 23.7°C (74.7°F).
Volgograd's public transport system includes a light rail service known as the Volgograd Metrotram. Volgograd is a major railway junction served by the Privolzhskaya Railway. Rail links from the Volgograd railway station include Moscow; Saratov; Astrakhan; the Donbas region of Ukraine; the Caucasus and Siberia. Local public transport is provided by buses, trolleybuses and trams. The Volga River still is a very important communication channel. The Volgograd International Airport provides air links to major Russian cities as well as Antalya, Yerevan and Aktau.
A memorial complex commemorating the battle of Stalingrad, dominated by an immense allegorical sculpture The Motherland Calls, was erected on the Mamayev Kurgan, the hill that saw some of the most intense fighting during the battle. At 85 metres it is almost twice the height of the Statue of Liberty in New York.
The Panorama Museum sited on the Volga contains artifacts from World War II. These include a panoramic painting of the battlefield from the location of the monument on Mamayev Kurgan. A rifle of the famous sniper Vasily Zaytsev is also on display. The Musical Instrument Museum is a branch of the Volgograd regional Museum of local lore.
