The Most Scenic Tram Route in Europe! Budapest Tram Number 2, Highlights.
Hi guys, I'm just back from a short break,
Budapest Tram Number 2 is a brilliant route, and a very cheap way to see a few of the many sights this city has.
this video is a short compilation of a few of the highlights of the route, such as views of the Danube, Buda Castle, Chain Bridge and the Hungarian Parliament Building
Top tip! buy your ticket at the purple ticket machines near subways, bus stops and tram stops, don't bother with the individual single tickets, just buy a 24hr/48hr/72hr travel card, these don't need to be validated, and allow you on to all public transport.
apologies for the slightly shaky footage, the trams do tend to shake a little bit!

Taking Tram #2 is the most cheapest way to enjoy the scenic view of the River Danube. Almost all the important monuments and buildings can be seen while taking the ride.
Budapest Hungary: Tram Ride Experience in Famous Budapest
Hop aboard a great mass transit system in Budapest Hungary. We see elongated electric trolley buses and the famous Tram Line #2 that plies along the Danube River and the Parliament Building. We also see Tram #3 that crosses the Danube near the historical Indoor Market and Gellert Hotel on the Liberty Bridge. Enjoy!

Tatra T5C5 Trams in Budapest, Hungary, Part II
This is the second and final part of the film about the Tatra T5C5 trams in Budapest, Hungary.
Today we explore the very beautiful route between Széll Kálmán Tér and Hűvösvölgy. This is the “outer” stretch of tram line 61, but the first few stations up to Szent János Korház are shared with route 59. The route is really interesting. Although it seems to be very rural with lots of trees and quiet streets surrounded by small villas, there is yet a tram running every 3 or so minutes. Most people seem to go all the way to Hűvösvölgy, which is a hub to transfer to some other bus lines.
Enjoy this film of this very beautiful route and the T5C5s on it.

4:56 – Nagyhíd; this is a very beautiful station

???????? Budapest Tram No 2 - Europe's Most Scenic Tram Ride
Budapest’s #2 Tram, Hungary
Trams are still very much part of everyday life in Budapest, which has a total of 96 miles (155 kilometers) of tram routes. On the Pest side of the city, the #2 tram follows the curve of the Danube River. This is the best way to see the Parliament building up close and the panorama of Buda Castle across the river. Sit on the side nearest the river for the best views.

Sightseeing from tram no2 Budapest
There cannot be many tram rides even in the great cities of the world where it is possible to see all the best tourist attractions for the price of just a single ticket. In Budapest, though, a ride on the number 2 tram is just such. The following is a brief description of what to look out for on a southbound journey. The total time from end to end is about 21 minutes, with the first and last trams leaving the southern Közvágóhíd terminus at 4.45 a.m. and 11.25 p.m. respectively. The tramcars themselves are of Hungarian design and date from 1967. There are interesting sights both to the left and right of the trams progress, but the best place to sit is on the side nearest the River Danube. And be careful not to get on a number 2A tram, as that only goes as far as Petőfi Bridge.
