Surfing in Ireland, this video was filmed in Tramore, Ireland. Currently attending Waterford Institute of Technology, they had offered the international students the opportunity to go surfing. Surfing was so much fun, even though the waves were small we made the most out of our time in the water.

Surfing Santa's Freedom Surf School Tramore 08/12/12

Freedom Surf School & Adventure in Tramore Co.Waterford held its Annual Surfing Santa's.
This year's event was in aid of Ryan & Ethan Caulfield Mc Cormack, two local boys from Tramore who have recently been diagnosed with ALD : A progressive, neurological and metabolic genetic disorder.

Tramore of our Times - Early School Days

Over a period of seven years from 2012 to 2018 historian Dr. Maxine Keoghan recorded the voices of Tramore natives. The need to record an oral history for future generations was recognized by Maxine who further produced a book entitled Tramore of our Times. The publication recalls a social history of Tramore of the mid-twentieth century. Other stories include a history of education in Tramore from the 1870s and the Brennan brothers who both fought for Irish Independence; one brother a member of the IRA while the other served in the Great War.



‘Early School Days’ is a recording from George Hamilton who along with Junior Keoghan and Christina spoke of their early days at the Star of the Sea School and at the Christian Brothers School for boys.
