The Traralgon Railway Reservoir Conservation Reserve (TRRCR) provides a sanctuary of natural wetlands for native flora and fauna. Located on the south side of Traralgon, it attracts residents and visitors alike. Established in 1844, the reservoir was originally used by the Victorian Railways to fill steam engines. Today it is home to a diverse number of trees, shrubs and grasses as well as migratory and local water birds.
