Cusco in one day: Sacsayhuaman, San Pedro Market, Inca history (Travel Videoblog 035)
Cusco is my first touch point with the Inca culture - in this video I show you what you can do in the former capital of the Inca empire in one day. Beside the historical sites I take you to some points which are more authentic: the local school, the market and in the end to a nice viewpoint to see Cuscos impressive location and surrounding landscape.

Cusco ~ Sacsayhuamán y otras ruinas #Peru #Caminata

When ready, browse vacation packages to Cusco:
Step through time and worlds with a #vacation to #Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire of the Sun. Since the 16th century, Spanish colonial buildings were built atop former Inca Palaces, of which only foundations remain.
In the Urubamba Valley, or #SacredValley, visitors can see the mysterious Moray Terraces and the pre-Inca Salt Mines of Maras. Ollantaytambo is a living Inca city and its towering ruins form the start of the Inca Trail to #MachuPicchu.
The long-lost Inca bastion was uncovered from the jungle in 1911. It remains a mystery how the Incas managed to stack the heavy granite blocks that make up the city’s buildings so precisely, at high altitude.
Little is also known about how the Incas turned a multi-lingual tribal region in an empire that is now known as one of the greatest civilizations in history.
For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

Peru - Pisac - Inca Citadel on Urubamba Valley - South America part 54 - Travel video HD
South America trip.
A vital Inca road once snaked its way up the canyon that enters the Urubamba Valley at Pisac. The citadel, at the entrance to this gorge, now in ruins, controlled a route which connected the Inca Empire with Paucartambo, on the border of the eastern jungles. Set high above a valley floor patch-worked by patterned fields and rimmed by vast terracing, the stonework and panoramas at Pisac's Inca citadel are magnificent. Terraces, water ducts and steps have been cut out of solid rock, and in the upper sector of the ruins, the main Sun Temple is equal of anything at Machu Picchu.

Peru Vlog - Inca Trail, Cusco, Paracas, Lima, Machu Picchu
My trip to Peru was primarily to hike the Inca Trail and see Machu Picchu, something I've wanted to do for a long time. After booking the flights and the tour, I realised I had lots of free time to do other things, so booked a bus down to Paracas, to see the desert.
