So me and a few of the new teachers at my school went to Laos for the half term after hearing amazing reviews from so many people. Our Journey starts in Luang Prabang, a gorgeous place to go with mountains, rivers, temples, waterfalls and gorgeous scenery. I also treated myself to a drone so finally some drone footage in my videos! Luang Prabang is by far the most beautiful place I have ever been. Highly recommend.

Luang Prabang is an amazing heritage and beautiful city in Laos. The streets are relaxing and charming, the view of the Mekong River are impressive, and the food and coffee is delicious.
Here's just a quick and simple Luang Prabang travel guide about the hotel I stayed at, a few things to do like visit the morning market, and having a great cup of coffee at Saffron overlooking the river.
Phounsab Guesthouse: (this is an affiliate link, if you book from my link I'll earn a small commission, but I recommend things I personally did) - I paid $51 per night for our room. Overall, great clean hotel, and the location was perfect.
Later on in the trip we also stayed at Apple Guesthouse: - another wonderful choice that has more of a family guesthouse feel to it.

2 DAY SLOW BOAT LUANG PRABANG LAOS
After arriving in Laos the night before we packed our bags, bought our tickets, and jumped on a packed boat for day 1 of travel on the slow boat to Luang Prabang. After a 6 to 7 hour journey, we arrived in Pakbeng, found cheap accommodations, and left bright and early the next day for day 2 of our slow boat journey. Finally, we ended in Luang Prabang after a short tuk tuk ride from the port.

Luang Prabang, the unique former king’s residence on the banks of the legendary Mekong, has most assuredly managed to retain its remarkable architectural, artistic and religious splendour right up to the present day.

Day 1 Visiting Hmong Relatives in Laos Luang Prabang

EXPLORING LAOS 2 - Luang Prabang
The second video of 3 of our time exploring Laos in SE Asia. Because we were short on time we booked onto a tour with White Elephant adventure tours to see a hill tribe village, waterfalls and to complete a 17km kayak with rapids. Great day - I have to admit I don't feel the video does it justice because the GoPro didn't pick up on how beautiful the kayak was! Highly recommend a trip like this.

LUANG PRABANG TEMPLE DAY (Mount Phou Si & Typical Laos Food) | Laos Travel
Today was a bit rainy so we decided to head out to explore some of the beautiful temples (or wats) in Luang Prabang, Laos.
We visited so many beautiful temples in Luang Prabang, but our favourite was at the top of Mount Phou Si in the center of town. The Temple at the top was very sweet, but it was the incredible city view that really blew us away.
For lunch, we enjoyed some typical Laos food: Beef Lap and Noodle Soup.

⇝ On our 2nd week in Laos, we were up to the classic route. The wonderful scenary continues and more stunning falls.

Laos , Luang Prabang Travel Guide - Full Review
Of the cities in Laos, Luang Prabang surely holds some the the countries greatest treasures which is must see in this country. Kuang Si Waterfalls clear teal waters, lush and vibrant country side, ornate temples beaming with culture and religious dedication, and a city ripe with flowers, cobblestone alleys and and a variety of food to satisfy anyones desires.
We spent 3 days in Luang Prabang exploring the cities temples, Kuang Si Waterfall, Tad Sae Waterfall, the bustling and unique night market, enjoying spirits from the Luang Prabang whiskey village (cobra whiskey), Morning Alms giving for the cities Monks, and caught sunset at the peak of Phousi Hill.

I heard a lot mixed reviews, some positive some negative, about the trip so I wanted to find out for myself.
