FOREIGNERS take 20 hour Luxury SLEEPER BUS in INDIA | from Jodhpur to Mumbai
Today we are taking a 20 hour luxury sleeper bus in India from Jodhpur to Mumbai. Taking a Sleeper bus in India is a cheaper way to travel than domestic flights especially if you travel through India on a budget. This Mercedes Benz bus travelling from Jodhpur to Mumbai offered A/C, power plugs, and was a really comfortable sleeper bus compared to the last one we went on. As foreigners it was a great experience to take the sleeper bus in India.

Food travelogue in old streets of Udaipur
‘Food Travelogue in the Streets Of Udaipur’
It was a regular day in Udaipur. We all are a group of foodies who just love to eat. Once while eating, a thought came in our mind that why not let the world know about the delicious food that we eat everyday. And here it is our first Food Travelogue where we have just covered our favourite places of food to eat in Udaipur. This was something we did for fun as you will see in ‘Behind The Scenes.’ But we thoroughly enjoyed each and every bit of it. Will be back with season 2 very soon. Till then watch this small effort of ours. Hope you will enjoy watching and will definitely go and try these.

CITY OF LAKES The Feature
by...Pacific Pictures
What happens to a dream when it becomes reality?
Does it still exist somewhere, in some ethereal place, waiting to come to fruition again?
Could a fictional narrative capture an emotional state, and the true meaning behind a real, live event with more drama and conviction than a traditional documentary?
These were just some of the questions that arose when I took on the CITY OF LAKES project late last year. First, it would become an unprecedented attempt to combine a fully scripted, produced film with Melissa & Samir's real, live wedding. All with the intention of creating one, seamless film. Second, the live wedding and production would be shot entirely on-location in Udaipur, India over a period of nine days. Third, our skeleton crew would consist solely of live event filmmakers from across North America, who would shoot the live wedding events and production simultaneously & exclusively on HDSLRs, the Canon 5D Mark II and 7D.
CITY OF LAKES is as much a story about what it means to return to the birthplace of one's ancestors, as it is an exploration of the Hindu faith, and the rituals of a Hindu marriage. Central to this is the Ganesh puja, which in simple terms, is a prayer over a fire believed to invoke the spirit of Ganesh, a great deity and protector, who can remove all obstacles from one's path. The puja is performed several times in the film and carries great significance to the plot and characters in both literal and metaphoric ways.
Melissa & Samir had always dreamed of being married in India. We hope this film helps them cherish that dream. But it could not have been without the acting talents of Anubhab Saha, Sharon Chawda and Rushad Rana, who were consummate professionals and a joy to work with. It also could not have been without the support of our sponsors: Canon, who provided two pre-production 7Ds and a host of L-series lenses; Tiffen, who provided all of our lighting; and Cinevate, who sent us much needed gear and sponsored an incredible behind-the-scenes campaign viewable at Cinevate.com.
The challenges were immediate, abundant and frequent. At times, we were certain the film was destined for failure; I often wondered if the film was too ambitious to execute. But what resulted was due in no small part to a crew made up of live event filmmakers who deal routinely in making the spontaneous appear staged. We're proud to share Melissa & Samir's 'hybrid' feature, CITY OF LAKES, which hopefully achieves more than a documentary, and perhaps at the same time, more than a scripted film.
There is a final question we hope you'll find difficult to answer as you watch our film. In more ways than one, try to answer:
What is real?
Thanks for watching,
-Kevin

Recently We Went To Short Vacations In Udaipur (Rajasthan)
Udaipur, formerly the capital of the Mewar Kingdom, is a city in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. Founded by Maharana Udai Singh II in 1559, it’s set around a series of artificial lakes and is known for its lavish royal residences. City Palace, overlooking Lake Pichola, is a monumental complex of 11 palaces, courtyards and gardens, famed for its intricate peacock mosaics.
Reshi Khola - Kalimpong Zuluk Circuit - Destination East - Incredible India
Reshi khola
Reshikhola is a riverside destination just 37 km from Kalimpong and very near to Pedong. The little village of Reshikhola received its name from the Reshi River running along this small place. In Nepali language ‘Khola’ means ‘small stream’. The place falls in between West Bengal and Sikkim creating a division between the two states. Like all other rivulets crisscrossing the sub-Himalayan range, the Reshi river coast is strewn with rocks and boulders with stream waters gushing around them. The river valley is surrounded by forests which are home to numerous birds and occasional bigger visitors like bears. Some basic homestays with nice modern facilities have come up along the Reshi riverside. These homestays overlook the river and promote eco-tourism where tourists can enjoy fresh caught fish and short treks around the forests. Reshi River is also believed to be a part of a popular travel route where, caravans used to stop for water.

Haridwar (हरिद्वार) Eco-Friendly Street Food Tour | Malai Samosa + Surja ki Dal + Magic Chaat

► More street food in Uttarakhand:
Welcome to Haridwar, a popular pilgrimage destination in Uttarakhand where devotees throng to seek divine blessings by taking a dip in the holy Ganges. This sacred city has some great street food that keeps the masses active and going. We were there to explore the street food scene in these busy lanes. Our host for the day was Mr. Jain who is the owner of the famous Jain Chat Bhandar. We are highly grateful for his support. An avid foodie and a genial gentleman, Mr. Jain took us on an immersive walk down the streets guiding us about the popular eats.
We started with the famous Surya Ki Dal. It's morning time and a crowd had gathered to buy a plate of this nutritious snacks. This boiled moong dal dish mixed with some simple elements was truly delicious. Eating it out of leaf plate added to the taste.
Next was the turn of a very old sweet shop that specializes in traditional sweets like milk cake, lauki ka lauj, khoya burfi, rabri etc. We were impressed by the quality and taste of these popular fares.
From there we went to Bhagwati Chole bhandar for tasting the Adda and chole ka paani. Adda is bun soaked in Chole ki sabzi. They serve it with chutney, ginger julienne, fresh coriander. The snack was followed by the channe ka pani which is a spicy yet hearty broth made from the leftover water from the boiled chickpeas.
We crossed over to the opposite side for Paan in order to cleanse our palette and prime them for more food.
Then we went to Thakur Raghubir sigh ji kachoriwala for khasta kachori and sabji. Served in leaf bowl, it was a treat. But their kheer mohan was too sweet for us.
We then took a Nimbu shikanji break at Shiv Soda before arriving at Mathura wale ki prachin dukan for their delicious puri sabzi platter. The desi ghee fare consisting urad dal puri, pumpkin and potato sabzi was quite gratifying. We followed it with tiny potli samosas and chandrakala.
Our next shop was the famous eatery of our host. Jain sir is loved not only for his playful treats but also for his genial personality. We were touched by the endearing manner in which he introduced us to his bestselling. people are crazy about their kanji vada, magic chaat and dahi patashe and so are we. The best part of the eating experience here was the Malu leaf bowls in which these were served.
Our next target was Mathura wale ki Malai Samosa, rabri and chocolate burfi. The khoya stuffed Malai samosa and the rabri were simply toothsome. And the chocolate burfi had the taste of real chocolate.
While walking towards our next stop is the Har Ki pauri ghat for Ganga Arti we stopped by a cart selling star fruits and couldn’t resist ourselves from taking a bite of this nutritious fruit. The sour ones are rich in vitamins.
Soon it was time to witness the marvellous aarti or prayer ritual where the holy Ganges river is worshipped with mantras and huge lamps. The vibe of the collective faith of the devotees thronging the ghat was a surreal experience.
After this divine encounter we went to Guru Vaisnav bhojnalaya for a proper traditional meal consisting of roti, rice, dal, seasonal vegetable preparation, papad and raita. We enjoyed every morsel of this homestyled desi ghee meal that was prepared over wood fire stove.
After filling our stomachs with all the goodness of the wholesome meal, it was time to grab a glass of hot milk and call it a day. Haridwar surprised us with its delightful treats and its friendly locals. Do make time for visit to this city and soak in its spiritual and culinary atmosphere. Till the next time keep walking keep exploring.

Painting on water in Udaipur
In Udaipur, an artist is practicing a 200-year-old art form in tribute to Lord Krishna. He paints on water rather than canvas using stencils and a water tank, which is prepared in advance by mixing water with charcoal.
Our expert Sue filmed this recently and we can include it in any private tour such as Colours of Rajasthan:
