Lo mejor de viajar a Indonesia, para mi, fue el trekking con Orangutanes en Bukkit Lawang, Sumatra. Desde luego, una de las mejores vivencias de esta vuelta al mundo.

The WILDEST I've ever been - SUMATRA JUNGLE TREK DAY 3

And thus ends the most incredible experience trekking through the Sumatran Jungle looking for orangutans. We managed to see a total of 13 orangutans plus some monkeys. I’d highly recommend using Heri Kibo’s company! He took care of my entire itinerary and trekked the whole jungle along with us!

we did a short trip in Sumatra in June 2018, nice local people, amazing jungle trekking experience, camping in the jungle, decent food. i will go back to Bukit lawang for sure one day.

INDONESIA Eco Lodge, Bukit Lawang, Sumatra (hd-video)

If you plan to visit the Gunung Leuser national park (orangutans) the Eco Lodge at Bukit Lawang is a good base.
Just a few minutes walk from the entrance and 10 minutes from the village centre. Thomas Leaf monkey and Macaques are all around in the garden.

Nice little place not far from the jungle where you can watch with a bit luck orang utans.

Edwin and the Ant -- Bukit Lawang, Sumatra, Indonesia

Our jungle trekking guide Edwin shows off his professional nature-boy chops by eating and regurgitating a Giant Jungle Ant (not an official species :) and consequently grossing out/impressing everyone.

This is in Gunung Leuser National Park in Northern Sumatra, Indonesia. The park is one of just three places left in the world where you can see orangutans in the wild.

Tourist gets kidnapped from an Orang Utan - Bukit Lawang (Indonesia)

Orangutan, Bukit Lawang / Indonesia, Sumatra

This semi-wild orangutan latched onto a Dutch tourist as she walked along the trail near the feeding area. The guides suggested that this uncommon behavior was due to the recent loss of a child. Reluctantly feeding the animal a banana was the only way the guides could free her from its powerful arms and legs.

Bukit Lawang Jungle Trek, Meeting Mina. Sumatra (Indonesia Part 3)

Follow our journey trekking through the Gunung Leuser National Park with our hero of a guide, *Cee Lo (*probably misspelt). We would encounter a variety of animals and eventually meet the fearsome queen of the jungle, Mina (aka The Mina). With a ruthless reputation for stealing backpacks and biting people we were lucky to leave with the footage intact.

Aside from the jungle, this video also features a walk around Bukit Lawang, river tubing and a selection of Bukit Lawang’s greatest hits.

Most of the music featured is performed by staff at the Junia Guesthouse, Cee Lo and friends of Cee Lo/ the guesthouse.
