TRIMURTI SHRINE BANGKOK
On Thursday evening at 21:30 is when lovelorn singles wearing red turn to Trimurti, the god of love, with offerings of red roses - all in the name of love, and in the hope that they will meet their eternal sweethearts. The shrine is a landmark in front of CentralWorld, and was recently slightly moved (at great expense) to make way for recent renovations.
In Hinduism, Trimurti represents the three aspects of God: Brahma (the Source/Creator), Vishnu (the Preserver) and Shiva (the Transformer or Destroyer). Some resemblance with the concept of Trinity in Christianity is evident here. Many claim Trimurti is especially successful in matching foreign mates with Thai partners, and the shrine is so crowded on a Thursday night that you'll have to wait your turn. What we wouldn't do for love..

Pray For Your LOVE and SUCCESS | In front of Central World Bangkok
JUNE 2019
TIME : 12:40
The Ganesha Shrine and The Trimurti Shrine are in front of Central World Shopping Mall in Bangkok.
JUNE 2019
The Ganesha is in a form of elephant head and human body, the Hindu God of accomplishment, wisdom, arts, sciences and wealth, the destroyer of evil and obstacles. Ganesha is well known as The Lord of Success. Thais believe that who pray to the Ganesha for success will have their dreams fulfilled.
The Trimuti is a gold statue of a human body with four heads, the Hindu God. Trimuti is the legend about love, success and happiness. Thais believe tha who pray for true love and success and happiness will have their dreams fulfilled. Trimuti is well known as the God of Love.
I suggest how to pray …
Pray at The Ganesha Shrine with 9 incense sticks, 1 candle with fresh flower or add more with milk or fruits.
Pray at The Trimurti Shrine with 9 incense sticks, 1 candle, 9 red roses or add more with red fruits. The perfect time for pray is on Thursday at 9.30 pm. Because we believe that time the God come down to the earth.
Pray step by step, at first light the 9 incense sticks, light the candle, close eyes, kneel in front of the Gods, pray and give flowers to god.
If you go to visit that area, go to pray for true love and success. Just try.

Churning of the Milk Ocean sculpture @ Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok
The Churning of the Milk Ocean sculpture is seen at Suvarnabhumi Airport (ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ) in Bangkok (กรุงเทพมหานคร), Thailand (ประเทศไทย) on April 30, 2014.
© 2014 Sanjib Dutta
The Churning of the Milk Ocean sculpture has Mahavishnu (महाविष्णु) dancing on top of the serpent Adisesha (आदिशेष, also known as Shesha/शेष or Sheshanaga/शेषनाग) — the king of all Nāgas (नाग) or serpent deities. It tells of the story where Devas (देव, demigods) and Asuras (असुर, demons) cooperated to churn the sea for thousands of years to extract the elixir of immortality, coveted by both groups. Vishnu (विष्णु) is the Supreme God of Vaishnavism, one of the three main sects of Hinduism.
The sculpture depicts one of the famous scenes from the Puranas — samudra manthan (समुद्र मंथन) which means the churning of the ocean of milk. The story appears in the Bhagavata Purana (भागवत पुराण), the Mahabharata (महाभारतम्) and the Vishnu Purana (विष्णु पुराण). The story is celebrated in India in a major way every twelve years in a festival known as Kumbha Mela (कुम्भ मेला).
The Puranas (पुराण) are ancient Hindu texts eulogizing various deities, primarily the divine Trimurti God in Hinduism through divine stories. Puranas may also be described as a genre of important Hindu religious texts alongside some Jain and Buddhist religious texts.
Kumbha or Kumbh Mela is a mass Hindu pilgrimage of faith in which Hindus gather to bathe in a sacred river. It is considered to be largest peaceful gathering in the world with over 100 million people visiting during the Maha Kumbh Mela in 2013. It is held every third year at one of the four places by rotation: Haridwar, Allahabad (Prayaga), Nashik and Ujjain. Thus the Kumbh Mela is held at each of these four places every twelfth year. Ardha (Half) Kumbh Mela is held at only two places, Haridwar and Allahabad, every sixth year. The rivers at these four places are: the Ganges (Ganga) at Haridwar, the confluence (Sangam) of the Ganges and the Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati at Allahabad, the Godawari at Nashik, and the Shipra at Ujjain.
Suvarnabhumi Airport (ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ from Sanskrit सुवर्णभूमि meaning Golden Land), (IATA: BKK, ICAO: VTBS), also known as (New) Bangkok International Airport, is one of two international airports serving Bangkok, Thailand. The other is Don Mueang International Airport.

Ganesha Shrine in Bangkok, Thailand
Directly adjacent to Trimurti stands another important Hindu shrine, this time for Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati. Ganesha is considered a master of intellect and wisdom, and visitors here seek to be blessed with artistic success and accomplishment.
The deity is one of the more recognizable (at least for non-Hindus) because of his elephant head, human components (many arms), elements of serpents, and the big belly that it is depicted with. His attendant is a mouse. Ganesha is often linked to the field of arts, but is, in fact, the Destroyer of Obstacles. Craftsmen would invoke Ganesha before embarking on a delicate process like stone carving, hence the link with the arts. He is also believed to be the god of good fortune, and revered by businessmen who wish for success in their ventures.
Bangkok is the capital and the most populous city of Thailand. It is known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon. The city occupies 1,568.7 square kilometres (605.7 sq mi) in the Chao Phraya River delta in Central Thailand, and has a population of over eight million, or 12.6 percent of the country's population. Over fourteen million people (22.2 percent) live within the surrounding Bangkok Metropolitan Region, making Bangkok an extreme primate city, dwarfing Thailand's other urban centres in terms of importance.
Bangkok traces its roots to a small trading post during the Ayutthaya Kingdom in the 15th century, which eventually grew in size and became the site of two capital cities: Thonburi in 1768 and Rattanakosin in 1782. Bangkok was at the heart of Siam's modernization during the later nineteenth century, as the country faced pressures from the West. The city was the centre stage of Thailand's political struggles throughout the twentieth century, as the country abolished absolute monarchy, adopted constitutional rule and underwent numerous coups and uprisings. The city grew rapidly during the 1960s through the 1980s and now exerts a significant impact among Thailand's politics, economy, education, media and modern society.

Shrines in Bangkok in Thailand
Hindu shrines Trimurti and Ganesh in central Bangkok in Thailand in Southeast Asia
Pathum Wan District, Erawan Shrine, Phloen Chit Road, Bangkok, Thailand ( 4 )
Pathum Wan or Pathumwan is one of the 50 districts ( Khet ) of Bangkok, Thailand. The district is bounded by six other districts ( from north clockwise ) Ratchathewi (across the canal Khlong Saen Saeb), Watthana, Khlong Toei, Sathon, Bang Rak, Pom Prap Sattru Phai ( across the canal Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem ), and Dusit.
The district was established in 1914. It is named after a Buddhist temple Wat Pathum Wanaram (literally meaning lotus forest temple) and the nearby Sa Pathum Palace ( means lotus pond palace ). Both were built to the order of King Mongkut ( Rama IV ) and named so because of an abundance of lotus in Khlong Saen Saeb during his reign.
Pathum Wan is best known for it's shopping centres. Siam Centre is the oldest one in the area. Opened in 1973, it is now flanked by Siam Discovery Centre and Siam Paragon ( opened December 2005 ). One of the most crowded and popular to both local people and tourists is MBK Centre ( also known as Mah Boon Krong ). It is packed with shops offering fashion items, mobile phones and souvenirs. A covered, air-conditioned pedestrian bridge over Phaya Thai Road connects to a congested sister shopping centre, the Bonanza Mall, which mostly sells inexpensive clothing and fashion accessories.
Siam Square, unlike others, is a shopping area consists of a block of buildings and many small roads full of shops, attracting mostly teenagers. There are three cinemas in Siam Square, built in the 1970's and run by the Apex chain: the Scala and Siam theatres offer a single, big screen; the Lido is a small multi-plex with three screens. Besides shops, many exam preparation schools are found in Siam Square. So the area is full of students during evening and weekends.
Suan Lum Night Bazaar, at the intersection of Wireless and Rama IV roads, is located in a large plot of land that used to be a military school. It is an outdoor shopping area open nightly focusing on clothes and souvenirs. Some pet shops can be found there. There are a few restaurants, a food centre, and an outdoor beer garden with retractable roof with live music performances. A unique traditional Thai puppet theatre named Joe Louis Theatre is also inside the bazaar providing nighty shows. It was expected to be closed down in 2007 the old lease was expired and Central Group won the bid to redevelop the area but the site remains open pending on litigation.
The Ratchaprasong intersection is in Pathum Wan district, which is flanked by Central World ( formerly World Trade Centre and then Central World Plaza ), Big C Ratchadamri, Narayana Phan, Gaysorn and Central Chit Lom shopping malls.
A large portion of Pathum Wan is occupied by several organizations. Near MBK, Chulalongkorn University is the oldest university in Thailand. The main auditorium together with Faculty of Arts buildings Maha Chulalongkorn and Maha Vajiravudh are famous architectures. The Museum of Imaging Technology within the Faculty of Science houses a large collection of cameras from old to new. Next to the university is Chulalongkorn Hospital and Thai Red Cross. Inside the Red Cross there is a snake farm called Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute ( or Sathan Saovabha in Thai ) showing venom extraction and producing serum to treat snakebites.
One of the major tourist attractions is the Jim Thompson House. It is a complex of magnificent Thai wooden houses formerly home to James H.W. Thompson, an American who lived in Thailand, developed Thai silk industry, and brought it to fame to the western world. Now it is turned into a museum filled with many antique decorations.
The Erawan Shrine at the Ratchaprasong intersection is a sacred place where people come to pray and make wishes to Brahma. Wishes could include getting admitted to university, babies, jobs, and so on. Flowers, wooden elephants, or traditional Thai dances are returned when a wish is granted. The Trimurti shrine and Ganesha shrine at Central World are popular places to pray as well.
Also located in Pathum Wan are Royal Bangkok Sports Club, a horse racing track operating every other Saturday, the National Stadium, the Lumphini Boxing Stadium where traditional Thai boxing matches are held, and Lumphini Park, the first park in Bangkok.
Erawan Shrine Bangkok @ 8 am
Good morning, it´s about 8 am and Bangkok is awakened.
We are at The Erawan Shrine, formally the Thao Maha Phrom Shrine, also known as Shrine of Lord Brahma the Great.
It is a shrine in Bangkok, Thailand, that houses a statue of Phra Phrom, the Thai representation of the Hindu god of creation Lord Brahma. A popular worship attraction, it often features performances by resident Thai dance troupes, who are hired by worshippers in return for seeing their prayers at the shrine answered.
The shrine is by the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, at the Ratchaprasong intersection of Ratchadamri Road in Pathum Wan district. It is near the Bangkok Skytrain's Chitlom Station, which has an elevated walkway overlooking the shrine. The area has many shopping malls nearby, including Gaysorn Village, CentralWorld and Amarin Plaza.
Five other shrines dedicated to Hindu deities are located in the area as well: Phra Laksami (Lakshmi), Phra Trimurati (Trimurti), Phra Khanet (Ganesha), Phra In (Indra), and Phra Narai Song Suban (Narayana on his garuda).
