Lester Garland House, Trinity, Newfoundland
This house, a large, brick Georgian residence has been reconstructed to be used as a museum and education centre to rekindle, promote and celebrate the strong historical and cultural links between Newfoundland and the west of England, especially those between Trinity and Dorset.
The reconstruction of the 1819 house was undertaken on the exact place where it once stood. It has incorporated in this reconstruction the original stone foundations and portions of the end walls (shown) remaining from the demolition conducted in the 1960s (as found in August 1995) and the original and, as required, new brick. The design, structure and architectural details of both the exterior and interior of the house are based on architectural, archaeological and historical research, photographic reproductions dating from the late 1800s to the present, archival materials, and detailed interior furnishings saved from destruction by the Trinity Historical Society. Items of furniture removed or earlier sold from the house have been located. The building has been restored to represent the various historical periods of the different structures that have existed on the site. The existing and stable stone foundations and brick fabric on the site have been retained.

An Introduction to Trinity Christian School Burlington
Fifty years ago, our founders had a vision of elementary Christian education that would be accessible to all Christian families in Burlington.
Today, Trinity is a thriving community of teachers, students, and parents from almost forty local churches that share a common goal: That our children will grow to become firmly rooted and faithful disciples of Christ.
In Trinity's bright, modern facility, children learn values that are closely aligned with what they learn in their homes and churches.
Children from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 grow to learn, love and live their faith, and to take it with them wherever they go -- in their careers, in their churches and in their communities.
Trinity is a school where God's narrative of grace is evident throughout our curriculum and activities.
Where parents from different denominations and backgrounds come together to participate and volunteer in school life.
And where fully certified teachers truly care about each child and model lives of Christian discipleship.
God has truly blessed Trinity Christian School and He has even greater things in store.
We'd love for you and your children to be a part of it.

Dennis Venema & Scot McKnight: Adam & the Genome
Jump to Scot's Lecture: 47:17
Q&A: 1:25:38
TWU Faith & Science Club, Humanitas Anabaptist-Mennonite Centre, House of James Bookstore & the CSCA Present a special event with Dennis Venema (Professor of Biology, Trinity Western University) and Scot McKnight (Professor of New Testament, Northern Seminary in Lombard Illinois) in promotion of their new co-authored book, Adam and the Genome.
More Info:
Many Christians believe that humans are direct, supernatural creations who did not result from an evolutionary process. Additionally, many Christians hold that all humans today descend uniquely from a single ancestral couple: Adam and Eve. These strongly-held convictions are now under pressure, namely from genomics evidence that indicates humans evolved and descend from a large population, rather than from a single pair. Is it possible that God used evolution as a means of creation? Or should Christians resist this evidence? What about intelligent design? Does Paul’s use of Adam indicate that he must be taken as a historical figure? Drs. Dennis R. Venema (Biologist) and Scot McKnight (Biblical Scholar) have taken these questions head-on in their new book, Adam and the Genome: Reading Scripture after Genetic Science (2017). This talk will explore the genomics evidence for evolution and consider its implications for evangelical faith, witness, and interpretation of Scripture.

AllEarth Budd RDCs - The Future of Vermont - Shop Tour September 30th, 2018
On September 30th, 2018, I was given the opportunity to join the Central Vermont Railway Historical Society on a tour of the AllEarth Rail Facility in Barre, VT. I was honestly amazed by just how many of these historic pieces were up there (12), and even more excited to learn the plans of using them in a commuter rail service here in Vermont. How fitting to use such classic units for a commuter service in the Green Mountain State!
For more information on the Budd RDCs and the plans for the future, visit the AllEarth Rail website at:

ABSTRACT: Scientists are invariably astonished when they read the nature poem known as the ‘Lord’s Answer’ in the Old Testament Book of Job. These 160 or so verses set out a deep and questioning curiosity into nature that resonates with everything that is human about doing science. We will explore why this is so, and why the book is so often read in a negative, rather than positive light. We might find that it contains vital wisdom for today in how we manage our relationship with the natural world.

2 Ways Iglesia Ni Cristo and the Catholic Church are the Same
The INC are guilty of doing the same horrible things the Roman Catholic Church has done many centuries ago. Not only the two mentioned in this video but both are guilty of corruption, abusing political influence and violence against protesters. We know the Roman Catholic Church has killed millions of people throughout its history. There are also serious allegations of murder and execution towards the so-called Iglesia Ni Cristo. Both churches are man-made religions which abuse their political power and advance their own selfish agenda.

The Importance of Being Civil
Civility is desirable and possible, but can this fragile ideal be guaranteed? In this lecture John A. Hall explores the nature and advantages of civility throughout history and in our world today. The aim is to expand our understanding of civility as related to larger social forces—including revolution, imperialism, capitalism, nationalism, and war—and the ways that such elements limit the potential for civility. Combining wide-ranging historical and comparative evidence with social and moral theory, Hall examines how the nature of civility has fluctuated in the last three centuries, how it became lost, and how it was re-established in the second half of the twentieth century following the two world wars. He also considers why civility is currently breaking down and what can be done to mitigate this threat.

Presentation to the Supreme Court of Canada on the Wall case
On November 2, ARPA Canada's lawyer John Sikkema argued in the Supreme Court of Canada in order to defend the independence of the church from State interference. In particular, he pointed out that church discipline is an authority given only to the church.
