A seven year old boy trekking-experience to the Triund Hill that's 9kms away from the main square of Mcleodganj.
The complete trek to and fro is of 12 kms.
It's rocky terrain through out the trek.
But with few haults for Maggi and tea makes the trek easily accessible.
It's a wonderful experience once u reach at top of Triund Hill. It's all foggy on top of the hill.
A must for Mcleodganj, Dharamshala trip.

Triund is a ridge that overlooks the Dhauladhars. The ridge elevation is between 2,810 and 2,875 metres. It is a one-day trek 10 kilometres (one way) from McLeod Ganj bus stand and under 6 kilometres (one way) from Galu temple near Dharamkot. The trail is rocky and cut in steps at some places. From Galu temple the trail starts as a gentle ascend till Magic View café. After the café, the ascent is a tad steeper, finally cumulating in a steep final one kilometre stretch through a forest of Deodars and Rhododendron. This final stretch through the woods is known as 22-curves, because of the 22 switchbacks that one has to walk through to get to Triund.
McLeod Ganj is a suburb of Dharamsala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The Tibetan government-in-exile is headquartered in McLeod Ganj.
TRIUND Trek, Mecleodganj, Indian Trekking, May2018, Plan this long weekend now in Dharamshala, INDIA
Full tour outline, how to plan and book your self.journey started from Chandigarh. We hired a tempo traveller from Chandigarh and then travelled to McLeodGanj. The Chandigarh to McLeodGanj journey takes around 6-7 hours with a 1 hour break.
We suggest to hire AC Traveller if you are travelling in Summer. Our Temp traveller(AC) included Chandigarh - Mcleodganj - Chandigarh transfer and sight seeing in Mcleodganj in Rs. 13000 for 9 people. To know the contacts for traveller comment below.
We reached to McLeodganj in evening 4 PM and we were tired AF. We decided to have dinner at a local Restaurant and also trying the local road side momos. If you are looking for a stay in Mcleodganj, we suggest to stay in Naddi, hotels are cheap and clean.
Our Trek was booked from Trodly and in turn they gave us contact from HimTrek. The trekking was started next day and we were asked to report at a common point where we filled our agreement. After 15 minutes we were provided with a guide and he accompanied us during the whole trek, our guide was a good guy and he kept us motivated and he also gave us idea to cross from shortcuts.
We stayed in night and then returned next morning to Mcleodganj. We were given Lunch and dinner on the day of trek and breakfast next day, which we chose to skip.
Overall, it was a memorable trip. Hungry Vacations highly recommend you to go and experience this beautiful place with your friends. We bet you that you will never forget this Trip.
We had a wonderful group of friends who took courage and decided to go against all odds to complete this trek.
We did this trek in April 2018, the temperature can drop in night at triund, so you should carry warm cloths.
Sleeping bags were not very comfortable, so be prepared to carry lot of warm cloths so that you can sleep wearing them.
Vincent Priya, Manu Divya, Shubham Neetika, Nishant Gunjan and Anshul were in this video.

Description
A Look from Triund Hill Top Trek McLeodganj Dharamshala India
Hey Friends, This is Shael and I feel so good as I am sharing another scenic beauty from the Himalayas in India.
About:
It's a short video taken at Triund Hill Top, which is approximately a 9 Kms of ascend that climbs up ahead a small village called Dharamkot, McLeodganj in Himachal Pradesh. This high altitude mountain range in the background is basically the Dhauladhar Range of Lower Himalayas in India, Triund is 9760 ft, and surprisingly deliver a spectacular view exactly from the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Cricket Ground in Dharamshala.
Region:
This trek is likely to cover a trail through rocks and moderate level natural boulders. You can experience drizzle and clouds that fades away the scenic beauty at times. Even if you are not a trekker or with no trek experience, mind you it takes little endurance to reach to the top, but it is worth it. Best season is all year around, though its difficult during winter season due to extreme snow. As the trek is steep and narrow climb at many places, a trekker needs to be very conscious along the trail. Also, avoid the same when it is raining heavily during monsoon season( July-Sep).
Accommodation:
You can book a stay in the overnight camping tent there if you haven't done it already from the city travel agents. The guides and care takers at the Triund top can help you with freshly cooked food and a couple of temporary business tents, for that you need to pay them a small. It is advisable to book your camping tent before-hand just to avoid any unexpected human traffic on the same day and it is expected over a weekend, so that may not ruin up your entire plan of stay.
How to Reach:
The place is about an overnight road journey from New Delhi - ISBT Kashmere Gate (11 hrs) and the Volvo takes you to a Bus Station in McLeodganj from where you have a lot of choice to be in close proximity to nature's delightful arms.
