From Australia with Lov3 | Short Film
Keith Haring meets Andy Goldsworthy as public artist Bode Klein moves through his environment to make a profoundly simple statement. - Aspen Shortsfest
Co-produced by Academy Award winning documentary filmmaker Daniel Junge, FROM AUSTRALIA WITH LOV3
is a film that takes you on an artist's journey through the vast and varied landscapes of Victoria, Australia. Using a signature style based on graffiti lettering, artist Bode Klein creates a poignant message with objects he finds in his path. Together with filmmaker Dan Gibb, they delve into the dilapidated crevices of Melbourne, unleash themselves into the glorious Grampians, and careen along the Great Ocean Road with the intention of leaving a very special mark. Pulling from a diverse background built on both graffiti and classical study, Klein creates work that is as much a piece of art as it is a relationship to his environment. Made of an array of mediums that include both man-made and nature-given materials, the message left behind is always as unique as it is universal. Equal parts an exploration of artistic process, travel log, and a captivating visual journey, FROM AUSTRALIA WITH LOV3 explores one artist's attempt to communicate with the world he encounters.
