Tropical Islands Resort in a German Blimp Hanger

Tropical Islands Resort is Europe's largest tropical holiday resort, situated in the world's largest blimp hanger in Germany.

The Resort is actually located, on the site of a former Soviet Military Air Base in Krausnick, Germany, inside a hangar built originally to house zeppelin airships, designed to haul long-distance cargo.

This gargantuan hangar is huge, and is the biggest free-standing hall in the world., it is 1,181 feet long, 689 feet wide, and 351 feet tall. To put that in perspective, you can fit inside eight football fields and the Statue of Liberty, or you could slide the Eiffel tower in on it’s side.

The rainforest is said to be the biggest indoor rainforest replica in the world, and is home to 50,000 plants of 600 different species, plus various exotic birds, turtles and fish, there is also a 3,000 square metres Sea with a 200-metre-long beach that stretches along its shoreline.

If you are interested in going, you can expect to pay about $49 euros for a day tick for per adult, and about $120 euro if you are staying the night.

Hey Guys,

TROPICAL ISLANDS, I saw this place advertised on a thread on Facebook and on a last minute whim booked it up. I would definitely go back and if your after a random adventure i couldn't recommend it more! I mean a giant indoor waterpark within a Air hanger is pretty cool.

This place is weird and wonderful and so much fun! We spent three days there and well and truly did everything we wanted too it was great.

Hope your all well and fabulous and i highly recommend a visit

Tropical Islands 2020 | Tropical Island Berlin Germany | Worlds Biggest Indoor Water park

Tropical Island, is man made Island or Island theme.
This is biggest indoor waterpark in world. It is even bigger than Canada's World Waterpark. This is also biggest free-standing hall in the world.

Some Tips:
They have day tickets. So if you come early, you will get more time to explore and relax.
Try to book tickets online at least before one week, so you can get better price and discounts.
They are having many restaurants inside the park. But you can bring snacks and drinks with you. There is no restrictions on your food. If you bring food n drinks with you, you can save money on eating stuffs.

And yes, if you want to get massage or any other Therapy, book your session before coming to island. On the same day its hard to get appointments.

In diesem Video seht ihr alle Rutschen im Indoor-Wasserpark Tropical Islands in Brandenburg. Der große Rutschenturm in der Halle beherbergt unter anderem Deutschlands höchste Turborutsche, einen Crazy River und eine sehr lange Riesenrutsche aus Edelstahl. Neben zwei Rutschen in der Lagune befindet sich im Tropical Islands außerdem ein brandneuer Außenbereich namens Amazonia, welcher einen 250 Meter langen Wildwasserfluss sowie eine Breitrutsche bietet.

Tropical Islands zählt zu den größten Indoor-Wasserparks der Welt und befindet sich in einem ehemaligen Zeppelinhangar, etwa eine Autostunde von Berlin entfernt.

In this video, we show you all water slides at indoor water park Tropical Islands in Brandenburg, Germany. The giant water slide tower inside the hall is home to several awesome rides, including Germany's highest speed slide, a crazy river as well as a very long slide made from stainless steel. Apart from two dark slides in the lagoon pool, Tropical Islands offers a brand-new outdoor area called Amazonia, featuring an 820-ft-long wild water rapids ride as well as a family slide.

Tropical Island is one of the world's largest indoor water parks and is located in a former zeppelin hangar about one hour from Berlin.

Description: Located in the world's largest free-standing dome, Tropical Islands features an indoor rain forest, spa facilities, and lagoon-style pool. Decorated with authentic palm trees and an artificial beach, it also features Germany's highest water slide. The outdoor AMAZONIA area also features Whitewater River, a unique lazy river pool. Pluses:
Nice hotelroom. We had window and fresh air in. That was really good, beacause it is very hot there. Breakfast all good. Dinner ok. Value for the money, we recomend it! Safe for kids.
Great experience, there is a lot to do inside like the waterglides, the expedition in the jungle, the new Amazonia area outside and all other stuff like bars, restaurants, games etc. Thematization is executed really well
This is a great place to visit, but not on weekends and school holidays . Even on weekday there were a lot of people. We traveled with kids 10 and 7 years old. They enjoyed pools and slides. This place is really impressive. We stayed at family room that was comfort but not extremely clean. Breakfast was just perfect. It's easy to get there: we took RE2 from Friedrichstrasse station, Platform 1 (Cottbus direction) to Brand Tropical Islands. You can buy tickets right under 1&2 platform moving staircase at the tickets office (not ticket machines :)))) Don't forget to buy tickets for the return journey. At Brand, Tropical Islands bus was already waiting for us. Same way back.
Minuses:
Little bit dirty at the hotelroom floor. Spots. They did not change towels every day.
Staff were not that friendly and helpful in quite a lot of locations inside
The food at the restaurants is not tasty and not chip. Locals bring everything with them: towels, food, bathrobes ))) You have to pay extra money for everything: mini golf, cars, hockey...

ALL 8 Jungle Splash Water Slides at Tropical Islands [NEW 2019]

Take a ride on all eight Jungle Splash water slides at Tropical Islands in Krausnick near Berlin, Germany. The giant water play structure manufactured by Polin Waterparks was added in early 2019 and boasts eight different water slides, including a space bowl ride, two compact slides, four Aquatubes and a small kids racer slide. Sadly, four of these slides are entirely dark without any light effects inside. Apart from the slides, the water play structure is also fitted with a tipping bucket and several water spraying elements.

Tropical Islands is the world's largest indoor water park and provides a tropical theme. It is located inside a blimp hanger just outside Berlin, Germany.

In diesem Video nehmen wir euch mit auf alle acht der neuen Jungle Splash-Wasserrutschen im Tropical Islands in Krausnick bei Berlin. Das riesige Wasserspielhaus aus dem Hause Polin bietet insgesamt acht Wasserrutschen, darunter eine Trichterrutsche, zwei offene Freibadrutschen, vier Aquatubes (Röhrenrutschen) und eine Doppelrutsche. Leider ist die Hälfte der Rutschen vollständig dunkel und bieten keinerlei Lichteffekte. Abgesehen von den Rutschen sind ein großer Kippeimer, sowie einige Wasserspiele ebenfalls Teil des Wasserspielplatzes.
