3 Days in Jobos Beach, Isabela Puerto Rico: Things to Do
I spent 3 days in Isabela, Puerto Rico. I arrived at Aguadilla airport and stayed at the Aribnb.
On the first day I explored Jobos Beach, tried to get to the Pozo de Jacinto and had dinner at Ola Lola's Tiki Bar.
On the second day I went horseback riding on the beach which was an awesome experience. In the evening I went to the local bar with live music.
On the third day I hung out at the beach, had some frozen pizza and iced coffee for breakfast, got caught by the tropical rain and made friends with the cat :)

Therapeutic Riding Center in NW Puerto Rico needs help - Chipstarter entry
We are opening Horses of Hope (horsesofhopepr@gmail.com), a non-profit therapeutic riding center in Isabela Puerto Rico. We need a large covered open arena (protection from rain and sun) to provide a safe place for our clients, volunteers, instructors, and horses to work together. Our mission is to engage the therapeutic power of our horses to nurture the special abilities of people with disabilities, help heal those suffering from trauma, and empower them to improve the quality of their lives, the lives of their families and their community. We have worked to open this center for over 2 years, starting with obtaining certifications from PATH Int'l to teach riding to people with disabilities and to work with mental health professionals to provide therapy for people suffering from trauma and mental health disorders. We faced delays caused by losing the property we rented and then Hurricane Maria, which devastated the island. We spent months working to help our communities recover. We offered a free program that helped 100s of horses and horse owners with feed, medicine, and equipment. We helped another struggling riding center get back on its feet. We worked with our neighboring church, Ciudad de Salvación and Ministeria Misericordia, to bring help and hope to many, taking food, solar lights, clothing, personal items, generators and more to remote areas of the island. In the course of this we found more support than ever for starting our center. And we also found - at last - land to build and operate the center. We are now working to finish our 501c3 status and our website and move forward to provide services to the many who need it and are waiting for help.
