Exploring 4000 Year Old Location - (Merry Christmas)
So guys as I said in the video a huge merry Christmas to all of you, even though it's probably Boxing Day when you see this video I hope Christmas 2016 was a good one and all the better next year. So the main reason I went out to make a video on Christmas was because it is a 2 year way-mark for me and I hope to continue making better videos week by week and learning new ways of film, I also want to let you know that I got a 4K exploring camera for Christmas so I'll try and use that in all my videos after I figure out how to use it and everything else about it. I would also encourage you to take a look at the links below and especially Jamie Dench's, he has a very clean and simple to use website which I recommend you take a look at at least, and if you are into photography and film then it is the place for you, but anyways guys I hope you enjoyed the video and I'll see you in the next one. So yeah guys, Bye.

WALKING IN KENT | TROTTISCLIFFE
I was joined by Candice on this 4 mile walk in and around the picturesque Kent village of Trottiscliffe. It was mid afternoon and the sun was starting to set.
We left the village and climbed up onto the North Downs and followed a small section of the long distance route through a beautiful forest.
We descended the chalk ridge and crossed over the Pilgrims Way and continued downhill towards the prehistoric site of Coldrum Stones, a neolithic chambered tomb, part of the Medway Megaliths.
By now it was dark, so we headed to the parish church (sadly it was locked) and back into the village and the pub for a cheeky cider!
Music:
swcwalks, swcwalk 330, Aylesford Circular. 24/4/19.
A new walk in Kent, starting on the banks of the River Medway. This 11.8 miler passes through some mixed terrain, including riverside paths; former quarries; an organic vineyard; field margins; woods and downland; a former long barrow and a former zoo! There is, unfortunately, also a section running alongside a noisy and busy dual carriageway.
Lunch is had 4 miles in at the now redundant, St Mary's church, Burham, which is now maintained by the Churches Conservation Trust.
All-in-all, a decent new walk, tarnished only by the section of North Downs Way alongside the A229.
English Heritage Motovlogs - St Leonard's Tower
St Leonard’s Tower stands on a natural sandstone ledge near the head of a narrow valley on the south-western edge of the village of West Malling.
The tower is a mysterious survival. It is thought by some to have been part of a castle built between 1077 and 1108 by Gundulf, Bishop of Rochester, who founded St Mary’s Abbey, situated about 700 metres (760 yards) to the north-east.
Alternatively it may have been built by Bishop Odo of Bayeux, who was half-brother of William the Conqueror (and who is thought to have commissioned the famous tapestry); he held church lands at West Malling. The tower takes its name from a chapel dedicated to St Leonard that once stood nearby.
Little is known about the history of St Leonard’s Tower. There is no evidence of fireplaces or latrines, which may indicate that the building was used for defensive, rather than domestic, purposes. Alternatively, the tower may have served as a centre for the administration of the local estates of the bishopric.
At a later date the roof of the tower was removed and windows were blocked; these alterations may have been related to the building’s later use as storage for hops.
Above information is from the English Heritage website. I highly suggest you join if you enjoy these videos, they have some proper cool sites scattered throughout the UK.
