Troubridge Island Conservation Park is a protected area includes all of Troubridge Island and some adjoining waters about 8 kilometres East-southeast of Edithburgh in South Australia and about 74 kilometres southwest of Adelaide. The park was proclaimed in 1982 under National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 ‘to conserve sea-bird rookeries and to preserve heritage values of a lighthouse and associated keepers’ cottages’. In 1986 the park was extended to include an area of intertidal waters around the island. The conservation park is classified as an IUCN Category III protected area.

Troubridge Island Packer Family Holiday

One of my Father's best kept secrets. For months he kept us in the dark about the location of his ultimate family holiday destination. Applying all of our not so insubstantial resources we tried and tried to figure it out but he managed to get our entire family all the way to the Yorke Peninsula before revealing that our weekend away was to take place on our own private island. The ever beautiful, ever distinguished Troubridge Island. This is a record in film of what happened.

Edithburgh Jetty is a wonderful shallow SCUBA dive with an abundance of fish life. Leafy sea dragons and potbelly seahorses might be found, blue crabs and soft sponges complete the colourful surround!
